Reviews for Marlfield House Hotel

Relaxed luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My husband and I stayed in Marlfield for one night dinner bed and breakfast. Check in was efficient and very friendly. The decor is beautiful and the house is spotless. Our standard room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the toiletries were by Voya, an Irish brand that I love. We had our meal in the conservatory and the food was fabulous. The varied menu was excellent. I couldn't recommend Marlfield highly enough and hope to return at the first opportunity.

We'll be back soon...................

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We spent a night in one of the Pond Suites last week, it was truly memorable. The Suites are gorgeous and hidden away from the world, so luxurious with the biggest, nicest bathrooms ever. But what really made our stay were the staff and the food. Every staff member we spoke to were so welcoming and friendly, whilst being professional. In particular, Ariane who was so cheerful & helpful when looking after us in the living room ( we arrived very very early). Similarly, Cormac the Barman in the restaurant, so friendly, so helpful, what a lovely young man. And Dawn in the office too. Everyone seems to be proud to work there and wants each guest to have a special time. And we did. Finally, the food in the Duck Restaurant was amazing and I don't use that phrase lightly. We had the sauté prawns to start, so flavoured I asked for the recipe (and the waitress got it for me!), a great starter and both of us had the fillet steak oh wow, melt in your mouth...... So if you are looking for a night or w/end away, not too far from Dublin, book this immediately, that's my advice.

Afternoon delight on the Terrace

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The Duck Restaurant Terrace this afternoon was just glorious in the very warm heavy weather. As always the food was to die for and I loved my Burrata salad starter and sea bass special. The staff had their usual friendly, ‘nothing is a problem’ attitude and the whole experience just keeps bringing me back summer after summer. Just love it!

Wonderful weekend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have just had a fabulous weekend in Marlfield. Every single person who worked there was so welcoming and helpful from the moment we walked in the door. Our room was lovely ( complete with 4 poster bed!).The food was great, on the first night we ate in the Duck restaurant which was a more casual dining experience and we had a very enjoyable meal.On Saturday we had the most wonderful meal in the Conservatory which was a 5 course menu with lots of quality local produce and of course brilliant service,we couldn't fault it.The breakfasts were also really good with a great selection. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely be back.

Wedding at Marlfield

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have visited Marlfield for an overnight stay, for lunch at the Duck and we were recently lucky enough to have our wedding at Marlfield house. We highly recommend Marlfield for all of the above. Marlfield is a special place, spend just a few minutes there and you will understand. There is an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The staff are so friendly, kind and warm. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was the making of the day. Her organisation, warmth and kindness meant we could enjoy the day as our guests were so well looked after. The food is exceptional, many of our seasoned wedding attendee guests telling us it was the nicest food they’ve had at a wedding. We are already looking forward to returning to Marlfield as guests (and hopefully as wedding guests!)
