Marlfield House Hotel

Just here for a 2 night break. Dined in the conservatory last night. Probably the best meal we have enjoyed for a long time. Attention to detail, service and overall quality of food was exceptional.

We celebrated our marriage at Marlfield House in August this Summer. We were extremely happy with the standard and the service at this venue. The owners Laura and Margaret take extremely good care of the house, from the furnishings of the rooms, to the immaculate entrance lobby and the beautiful manicured gardens. We were also reassured by the Relais & Chateaux seal of approval this property holds. Dawn, our resident wedding planner, reassured us in every regard and made sure that every detail was taken care of for us... thank you Dawn for making our weekend at Marlfield so memorable! We also chose the venue for the standard of the food. The Duck restaurant is on the other side of the property and has a great reputation, and the main dining room is also of a very high standard. We wanted a warm, vibrant space with lots of light, and the dining room with its large glass conservatory was exactly what we were looking for. We were lucky to get some great weather and so had our drinks reception in the sunshine in the gardens which was very special for us. Thanks to Laura, Margaret, Dawn, Musa and all the staff at Marlfield for giving us the party we wished for!

I Visited this lovely Country House with my wife and daughter, for Afternoon Tea, in August '25. The food was freshly prepared and most enjoyable with plenty of Tea and Coffee served. I must say the staff were very polite and helpful and tended to our every need. On paying the Bill, I was using a Voucher ( for two) which I received as a gift 4 years previously and was expecting just to pay extra for my daughter which came to €42. Now I understood that the voucher was valid for 5 years under present regulations, but I was also charged an additional €32 being the difference in the cost for two, from the date of the voucher to the present date. I was a bit disappointed with this as there is no mention of this Policy on the Voucher as a warning, which I feel strongly, that there should be.

We stayed here for a family wedding, and it was perfect! The service was fantastic and a special shout out to Dawn who truly made our experience special. The character of the rooms added a unique charm, each thoughtfully decorated and incredibly comfortable. And let's not forget the food—it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place for any special occasion. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

From the moment we arrived we loved everything about Marfield House. A Gorgeous Old Manor that invites you in and makes you field like the Lord and Lady of this beautiful home. The rooms all seem to be different and the one we got was so cosy and homely. We stay often in 5 star hotels and even though it has a 4 star rating, this place does not fall short of a 5 star luxury experience. Breakfast was the best I had in a while. All A La carte. Freshly squeezed orange juice, amazing Irish breakfast, beautiful porridge, I could go on! Lots of little spaces to sit and relax in the afternoon in front of the fire with a cup of tea and a good book:) Special thanks to Dawn at reception. Makes an effort to remember your name. Goes well out of her way to make sure you are being taken care of during your stay. Can’t wait to go back and thanks again to everyone at Marfield for a wonderful 2 night break that was badly needed:) You know how to do hospitality!
