Its a long drive from our home in N Ireland to Gorey but it was certainly worthwhile. This hotel is above and beyond in terms of accommodation, atmosphere and food. Above all, the staff are exceptional having that unique gift of being both professional, polite and friendly. Dinner one evening in the Duck was very good but the following evening in the Conservatory was exception. If you ever get the chance, try the salmon and crab Roulade for a rare treat. Yes its expensive but you certainly get what you pay for! Highly recommended.

Myself and my wife and two of our friends went to Marfield House on the 24th of April to stay for a night to celebrate a special birthday for one of us. From the minute we got there we were made welcome by the lovely staff and in particular MAtthew who went above and beyond to be helpful The food was beautiful. We had lunch in the Duck Restaurant and dinner in the main restaurant and it was top top quality. Nothing was too much trouble, our room was beautiful, the setting was beautiful the stay was a perfect 10 out of 10. We will definitely go again and would highly recommend Marfield House to everyone.

Just spent a night in Marlfield house hotel, Gorey. Stunning location, we were in the lodge, their pet friendly rooms. Amazing 2 bedroomed, gate lodge spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable with a large kitchen /living room. Large ensuite bedroom, comfy bed and pillows to die for. Staff, especially Matthew and Philip, really friendly and helpful from the time we arrived until check out. We had dinner in the Duck restaurant, a fabulous experience with tasty, perfectly cooked food. Breakfast in the conservatory, is cooked to order so lovely and hot with great choices. Overall a great experience

We had a fabulous night in Marfield House staying the white Heron Pod. Room was exquisite and cosy . Lush surrounding and rain made it very tranquil. Had a lovely relaxing bath before dinner. Food was delicious and staff most welcoming . Highly recommend for a night away to recharge .

We were so looking forward to enjoying our afternoon tea in the nicest property in the area! I should have read the reviews before coming. I wrote a lot of reviews for many different places I visited but NEVER I wrote a bad review. This time I felt different. I agree with previous writers about the quality of food and service, I felt so sorry for the staff working in that place so I gave them a nice tip even though the experience was disappointing. From not freshly baked pastries and lots of sandwiches as one would not expect on a property of this calibre, struggling to get staff attention to bring us some extra tea and ending up just drinking warm water. I don't blame the staff as I said already but every time a new staff member came to our table, he/she looked lost as they were running around like headless chickens. That made our experience very disappointing. The only thing that kept the atmosphere going was the walls, the decor, styled furniture. I hope this can be improved as it is a shame to be sitting in such a beautiful and rich environment and feeling sorry for the people who work there. OWNERS, PLEASE LOOK AFTER YOUR STAFF! They are part of your wealth and guest experience.
