We experienced a wonderful stay at Marlfield House thanks to fabulous accommodation, food, surroundings and very friendly, helpful staff! Wonderful place to be! We had 2 dinners. One in the Duck Restaurant and one in the Restaurant in Marlfield House. The food and the service were outstanding!

Birthday lunch.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Yesterday, 22nd June, we had Sunday lunch for 6 people to celebrate a friends birthday. Marlfield house and restaurant are really lovely and they gave us a great round table in the conservatory. The service and the food were top class and all of your staff made us feel welcome and were most helpful. Thank you to one and all for a lovely day, we will be back. Kevin Byrne.

Afternoon tea delight

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Just back from my first visit to Marlfield House. Had afternoon tea in the most beautiful room. Staff were incredible, food was delicious and felt totally relaxed and no sign of being rushed out like some hotels do when you are there for afternoon tea. The cheese tartlets were absolutely delicious. Unusual for afternoon tea but my fav of the day! The place is really beautiful I certainly will come back to stay the night to try dinner.

First class venue from start to finish

Well ,just when you thought it could not get any better ,it did. I visited the Marlfield House Hotel in june 2025 with my wife.Arrived to a very warm and informative reception by a lady called Dawn I belive .We originally bookd a main house room and dinner for 1 night and got upgraded to a pond suite. The grounds have some nice short walks and lots of nice planting especially in their kitchen garden. All the staff we first class without exception, and the decor and cleanliness of the house was first class. The Meal. A pre dinner drink in the main bar overlooking the garden was a nice pleasent start to the evening. The presentation ,quality and flavours were just great, definitely a 5 star meal ,with excellent table service from all the staff. The Pond Suites. These detached suites (about 4/5 of them) are set in a horseshoe shape around a large pond, about a 2 minute walk to the main house. they are very well equipped with everything you would need. A tv with actual staions you can watch and excellent wifi reception.I would highly recommend a stay here .I did see 2 of the rooms in the main house and they were excellent I would have no problem staying in these as well, The rooms are large and have nice big bathr roms. For the record I have no connection to the hotel or any of its staff past or present this is just my honest opinion as I found it.I will definitely return. I live in Dublin and despite it being only an hours drive you feel you could be anywhere in ireland

Marlfield House: The Perfect Setting for a Dream Wedding

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Our daughter and son-in-law recently had their wedding at Marlfield House, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the dinner party the night before to our departure the morning after the wedding, everything was flawless—beautifully organised, warm, and relaxed. The food was outstanding, as always at Marlfield—top quality, perfectly presented, and professionally served. We had exclusive use of the house and the beautiful gardens which are ideal for photos, videos, and simply relaxing. While we were enjoying the wedding dinner, the elegant reception area was seamlessly transformed into a dance floor—just one of many touches, flawlessly executed. Guests danced into the early hours, and most stayed overnight in lovely, comfortable rooms. Many are already planning return visits. Huge thanks to Laura, Margaret, and their accomplished wedding organiser, Dawn, who expertly guided the happy couple through the many questions that arose from the time they first considered Marlfield House. Special thanks also to Matthew, who warmly welcomed our guests, and to all the staff who made the day so special.
