The location of the lodge is beautiful and the rooms and lobby are very nice. However, at 3x the price and double the points of every other Marriott in town, we expected more. The service was shockingly bad. Rooms weren't ready until an hour after check in....I really cannot remember a time a room wasn't ready at 4pm ever. When we finally got a room, it wasn't clean. Body wash in shower was filled with shampoo and we had almost no toilet paper. Welcome drinks weren't offered to us and our Bonvoy status was never acknowledged. Valet was chaotic and we never got a text from them to get our car back. No one at valet or the front desk offered to help with luggage. No bathroom in the fitness center which is just weird. The restaurant took forever, even though it wasn't crowded, and the food was expensive and just ok. Waitstaff was friendly and the staff at the bar were very nice. Lobby was always full of non-guests...this didn't bother us but I understand why it would annoy people. Many people in the lobby were angry and frustrated with the rooms not being ready and no help with bags. It's bad enough not to be able to check in on time without adding not having a place to sit because of the constant stream of people in the lobby. At the AC where it's limited service, I would be fine with all this...other than the room not being ready at 4pm....not cool anywhere. Still, if you present as a premium property and charge as one, people expect a premium experience. If you can get a great rate or don't care about burning points and you can manage your expectations, go for it, but not worth a splurge.

We spent the Christmas holiday At the Grand Bohemian Lodge. A 4-night stay that was an unforgettable and festive experience! The valet service and reception upon our arrival set the tone for a wonderful visit to Greenville. Our suite was as comfortable as expected, but the hotel went above and beyond to create the perfect holiday atmosphere. And it was reflected in each and every guest as they enjoyed all the comforts of the hotel, from the Lobby Fireplace to the Art and Museum Gallery to their signature restaurants and lounges. The location overlooking Reedy Creek and downtown Greenville was perfect to enjoy the local holiday spirit. 5 stars all around!

Wonderful experience. We arrived early after a long day of driving. Greeted promptly by valet service. They were pleasant and efficient. Check-in was quick and pleasant. Showed right to our room. Gorgeous, clean, spacious, quiet. Only comment: The shower tile floor is EXTREMELY SLIPPERY WHEN WET. I was first one in, noticed and promptly placed a bath towel mat on the shower floor to make sure no one slipped. We did walk around the downtown area. Not much to see or do. The Christmas Market vendors were nice - small - nothing of interest. We would go back but would research what to do in the area. Wish we had had time to go to spa.

The Lodge is grand on the outside but anything but Grand ont the inside. Poor architectural layout starting with the elevators and goint to the dining options. The King Suite was not ready until 4:20pm, although I requested 3pm, and c-o is 11am and c-i is 4pm. A five hour room turn is atypical. The suite was very spacious.
