About the Hotel

In the heart of Gstaad village and the Promenade on your doorstep, Le Grand Bellevue was originally built in 1912 as a Cure House and Spa and continues to hold the title of the oldest palace hotel in Gstaad. This luxury Swiss resort combines the refinements of a grand hotel with the charm of a cozy country home. Family-owned, managed and designed, the hotel comprises 57 bedrooms. Bold colours, eye-catching prints and elegant furniture make up the interiors. All suites and rooms offer panoramic views of the Gstaad Saanenland mountains. The hotel’s signature restaurant LEONARD’s offers exceptional Michelin-starred cuisine in a relaxed environment whilst the more intimate 18-seat Le Petit Chalet serves up a menu of hearty Swiss dishes and its art deco bar and cocktail lounge bouquet have become Gstaad’s most sought after night spots.

Reviews for Le Grand Bellevue

Personal experience m, exceptional staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Fantastic experience. The staff were outstanding, each and every one. The food was great from the terrace to the sushi bar. Olivier the senior concierge speaks 18 languages and his suggestions are exceptional in any one of them. Gaelle at the restaurant, Luis, and both the Yiannis's but honestly it was every single person. The rooms and spa also perfect. Thanks, faris

Gstaad Best Place to Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed for a week in the hotel for a vacation in Switzerland of 4 weeks; definitely the best experience we had in the country. The staff is very professional and friendly, it was a very nice surprise to find many of them to be fluent in spanish. The food quality is great. The SPA is elegant and gives the feeling of exclusivity. We appreciated the support from Olivier the concierge and the restaurant manager Romina, both of them extremely attentive and made our stay to feel warm and personal. Great Recommendation for couples, as the rooms are confortable, clean and with good taste, the breakfast, spa services, spa facilities, food and drinks options make it a good place for enjoying the beauty of Gstaad.

As good as other reviews have said - pricey but worth it - and I think best in town

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Hotel lived up to our expectations - beautiful historic building, excellent food, attentive service, luxurious spa . We really enjoyed the half-board as the 3 course dinner provided was amazing. We haven't stayed at the other 2 big luxury hotels in town but I looked at them - and other than not having an outdoor pool, I think Le Grande Bellevue was the best combination of attractiveness and service - historic more than hip and luxurious rather than stuffy - and relatively speaking worth the money.

Overall super property but no Air Conditioning ! Be aware !

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Superb hotel partner of either Hyatt ( Mr and Mrs Smith ) or Hilton ( SLH ) with amazing grounds and close to downtown Gstaad, rooms are very nice and spacious with a great bathroom. The only downside for Americans is the lack of AC as there is NONE ! Be aware in case of super hot summer days you might not be able to sleep … The breakfast was alright, a bit disappointing with a bitter coffee, viennoiserie ( croissants and such ) so so Solid amenities with a Spa, amazing pool, gym, movie theater etc We were lucky that the day we came the weather was perfect and the night was chilled but I would not stay at this property on a hot summer day!
