Le Grand Bellevue

One of the absolute best hotel I've ever had the chance to stay at. Amazing staff, great location, a feeling of staying "at home" while benefiting from exceptional services. Can't wait to come back !

My goodness we had such a lovey time!!! We stayed for just one night sadly for a friend's birthday and it was such a wonderful experience. Of course the property itself is lovely, with great facilities, a super breakfast and a brilliant setting.....but what made it so exceptional for us was the team!!! Starting with the Director who personally welcomed us, he was constantly out and about meeting clients and checking everything was okay. We also loved Sofia, who was so wonderful at accepting all of our requests during a dinner with children coming and coming. Additionally, Mathilde, so friendly, so welcoming. It felt like we were being welcomes in their house. We also loved Annamaria, Stelios and Etienne. 1st class service!!!!! I personally love the way this team epitomises Switzerland, so many different nationalities all singing from the same hymn sheet. We'll be back, thanks for having us. Jonathan, Raphaele and SImon

I stayed here for 2 nights in the summer - would have been 3, but they were already full on the last night (almost a year out when I booked) so I headed to Geneva instead. I now know why they were booked full that far out. The service at this hotel is top tier. Instantly upon filling out the check in form, they reached out asking if I needed a (free) ride from the train station. A very kind offer, considering it's a 5 minute downhill walk. I didn't take them up on it, but if you had a lot of luggage this would be a game changer. I didn't even make it inside the lobby before someone came to ask if I was checking in and then usher me inside. I was brought to a couch and handed some lovely homemade tea and a cookie while the front desk staff handled my check in. The general manager even came over to say hello - absolutely not required, but a nice touch. My room was spacious and lovely. I had a deluxe chic room on the first floor (front facing) with a huge balcony. The catch was that it didn't offer much of a view. You could catch a glimpse of some mountains if you crane your neck one way or the other, but it was about half lobby (they have a funny rock garden with some camel statues above it) and half trees. I still enjoyed my time out on the balcony, but if you're looking for a VIEW, I'd recommend consulting with the hotel staff before booking because what I had wasn't that. I know I already mentioned the service, but it bears worth repeating. The service here is so fantastic. Everyone is ready to drop everything they're doing to help you. Some small examples: I ordered takeout, fully expecting to pick it up in the lobby myself. I never got tracking info from the restaurant and it came early, so needless to say I did not meet them in the lobby. The hotel figured out it was for me based on first name only, brought it up, and then also sent room service staff up with plates and cutlery. Another example: I was sitting on my front-facing balcony while the Zuglete BBQ was being hosted on the front lawn. I could see a couple of young kids running around - a boy (5ish) and a girl (3ish) without their parents. They were fascinated with the flowers in front of the lobby and kept running over to look at them. The staff member who was stationed outside the entrance was so good with them. He kept walking over to check on them, answer their questions about the flowers, and just generally seemed like he was great with kids and a fun person for them to interact with. This hotel will be my go-to in Gstaad from now on. Highly recommend!

As we begin our two-week journey exploring Switzerland, I fear this hotel will make the others pale in comparison-easily one of my new favorites in our worldwide travels. We stayed two nights along with another couple in two spacious king rooms that shared a large wraparound patio with soaring Mountain View's. As a storied luxury property in swanky Gstaad, I'm sure they are used to privileged guests and celebrities yet we've never been greeted so warmly or made to feel so special. From the moment we were met at the train station for the 2-minute drive to the property literally sparkling in the sunshine and walked inside we were pampered. It felt as if every employee from the hotel was there to greet us from bell and front desk to excellent concierge, Olivier, to the general manager of the hotel. Such a WARM welcome and this level of service continued uninterrupted throughout our oh too short stay. Our spacious rooms were exceedingly quiet and located a bit of a hike past the conference center in a more recent wing with modern hotel rooms and fantastic up to date bathrooms. Like most of the hotels in alpine Switzerland there was no AC but opening the windows at night provided plenty of cooling despite the unusually warm (80s) early September weather. A sumptuous breakfast was included in our room rate that featured all the usual items plus a great à la carte options. We were a bit sad to leave after two nights but will plan to return at some future date for more pampering and to spend more time in the deluxe spa and indoor pool complex. Highly recommended.

Everything about this hotel is spectacular! the spa, the restaurant, the spacious rooms. the service is impeccable, and incredibly accommodating for our young children. Olivier the concierge is a gem!
