Charming hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived until we checked out 5 nights later. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and the room service was excellent! The grounds are beautiful with gardens and statues. There is a weightlifting gym with machines and dumbbells. The restaurant is very attractive and every dish we ordered was delicious and well prepared. The servers were great. The location is convenient and a few miles from downtown. We took Uber and were in the center in ten minutes or so. The rooms were very quiet and we slept well.

Absolutely a fantastic experience in Guadalajara!

Recently, my niece and I visited Guadalajara and our favorite part of the visit was our stay at the Quinta Real Hotel. It may be the most beautiful hotel I've ever seen. It is part of the luxurious Quinta Real brand, which often places their hotel properties in historical buildings. The Guadalajara property was actually built in 1986, but constructed as a traditional colonial-style hacienda on land once owned by the Martinez family. It has been described as an oasis, and that is a perfect impression. When you step inside, you're enclosed by high stone walls, reminiscent of a castle or palazzo, surrounded by lush gardens, birdsong, splashing fountains, antiques, and artwork by artists such as Sergio Bustamante. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in and elegant indoor/outdoor restaurant. Everything is hushed and refined, in direct contrast with the noise and traffic just outside the doors. The very best part of the experience, however, was the impeccable, accommodating, and kind staff. We both felt so pampered, without any sort of stiffness. ours was a truly wonderful stay and we cannot recommend the Quinta Real enough.

Disappointing ..

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

It's a nice hotel but in a quiet location and with very few people staying there .. so quiet as can be. The most expensive rooms are quite dark so I wouldn't book those again. Staff is very nice and polite though the maids can be trained better than they are.

Disappointing Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Very disappointing stay at Quinta Real Guadalajara. Several pieces of our clothing were damaged/ripped during our stay. The clothes had been ironed and were in perfect condition before we left our room, and the damage was discovered after returning. This was extremely upsetting. The room itself had multiple issues. The AC rarely worked and the room constantly felt damp and humid. The sheets looked wrinkled and did not appear freshly changed upon arrival. Parts of the ceiling looked like they were caving in, and the shower head was heavily calcified, resulting in a poor water stream. At one point, there was even a leak from the AC unit in the room that had to be addressed. Room service was also inconsistent every time we ordered, something was forgotten. To make matters worse, we noticed that the daily room charges varied without explanation. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations for a hotel that presents itself as upscale. We expected much better in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and service.

Liked the staff and relative quiet location.

Quiet, free parking, great service, if you like walking you can visit the "party" area in about 30 min. Very friendly and official service. Didn't try breakfast or dinner in the hotel. Very small pool area. Take / request a garden room, it does make a difference wrt noise and view.
