Unipark by Oro Verde Hotels

I spent 5 days at this hotel during the World Cup. It was really great. The hotel has 3 restaurants, a cafe, and really good room service. It was a bit on the expensive side. Room service ended I believe at 10:00pm. The room was large, very quiet, clean, and well appointed. The air conditioner worked well, they cleaned the room every day, and provided the room bottled water (2 bottles) daily. The fitness center exercise equipment was a bit dated, but functional. It included a pool and sauna as part of the package. The breakfast buffet was awesome: Omelets made to order, fresh coffee, fruits, lots of variety. The atmosphere was festive all the way Ecuador was participating in the World Cup. The hotel had an ATM near the lobby, a very nice convenience. Taxis are right out the door of the hotel if you needed to go anywhere. I would use the hotel again once I return to Guayaquil.

We did not stay at the hotel, we only had lunch there, but the facility looked very nice. For the dining at lunch, it was a little bit of a letdown after the fabulous food we had on our cruise to the Galapagos with so many fabulous dishes. This was a buffet with a lot of variety, but there were so many plain American options like hot dogs and pizza and hamburgers, which was not very appealing to us in a country with so many wonderful dishes. There were some good Ecuadorian breads and a make-your-own ceviche, which was delicious. They had nice desserts and the service was lovely, it just wasn't anything that was all that interesting.

I stayed at Hotel Oro Verde in Guayaquil, Ecuador, for 10 days, and I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The breakfast was superb, with outstanding quality and service to match. The hotel’s attention to detail and cleanliness was exceptional. I also enjoyed the amenities, especially the pool and jacuzzi. Although I didn’t use the gym, it was well maintained and equipped with everything needed for a great workout. My room was comfortable, but one thing I especially appreciated was the consistently hot showers and clean-smelling water. Not every hotel in Ecuador offers that, and it made a noticeable difference. I had lunch and dinner at the hotel many times during my stay, and every meal was excellent. Since I was there during the World Cup, my favorite place to watch the matches was the hotel bar. The atmosphere was fantastic, and Gonzalo, who took care of me throughout my stay, provided exceptional service every single day. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding—from the front desk and restaurant staff to housekeeping. Located in the heart of Guayaquil, I always felt safe thanks to the hotel’s professional security and attentive staff. It’s clearly a very popular and busy hotel, and after staying there, I completely understand why. The staff is well trained, knowledgeable, and many speak English, making communication easy for international travelers. I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made my stay so memorable: Karen, Patricia, Angie, Angélica, Nancy, Milton, Pilar, Darla, Maria, Alejandra, Adriana, and especially Gonzalo. Your kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality made me feel truly welcome. I know I missed a few to mention but you all were great! Hotel Oro Verde has officially become my favorite hotel in Guayaquil. I look forward to staying there again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

The hotel had many amenities including a great workout space, a sauna, steam room, pool, and many sitting areas. The breakfast buffet was immense and full of choices, the bathroom was large with great water pressure and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel was FULL of air fresheners that spewed scent into the air so heavily that I could practically taste it and it gave my roommate a headache. These endocrine disrupters are horrible for your health and only the rooftop provided fresh air.

I stayed at the Oro Verde Hotel in Guayaquil, very easy and very accessible to almost anything. restaurants with authentic Ecuadorian food.
