Celebrated for its wild natural beauty, Ecuador is also a place of refined urban delights. In its southwest corner, you will find the vibrant port of Guayaquil, gateway to the Galapagos Islands and home to the sophisticated Oro Verde Hotel Guayaquil. With its prime downtown location, this urban escape pampers guests with tasteful modern décor, the Oro-Fit Spa, a lively casino and bevy of restaurants, including El Patio, providing a tantalizing journey through Ecuadorian gastronomy.

The overall experience was outstanding. Few days ago the experience was one of the most terrible and horrible experience I've ever seen before. Upon my family arrival for a traditional dish called Fanesca, to test it out, within 1 hour 30 minutes of the close time, they said that they run out of the stock in the Gourmet Deli. But we can order it at the restaurant called El Patio. How could ever been possible this scenario. The same main dish with a $7.50 diference, same 5 star hotel, and few meters aways. The right procedure shoulded be to bring the same dish from El Patio to the Gourmet Deli, making sure the stock is 100% guaranteed from open to close time. But after this incident the supervisor kindly reinvincted themselves by offering us to my entire family the full service at no cost. And also making sure we are fully confident and secure that this situation won't happen any more. Thank you so much for that. Definitely a great come back, reimbursed and solution overall to keep the frequently clients happy. Coming back for sure!

A huge and brilliant hotel, so well styled with very attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure your stay is as perfect as it can be. They even come and check on you about 10 minutes after check-in to ensure everything in the room is ok for you. The hotel has fragrance misters dotted around so there is a constant wonderful aroma. Everything is clean and sparkling. The bedroom was huge with 2 massive beds and a very nice large bathroom which included decent toiletries. A selection of restaurants to choose from, we tried 2; El Patio and La Fondue - both were very good! There is also a coffee / cake place and a shop to buy gifts and art work. The swimming pool is a really nice temperature and perfect to cool off after a hot day out and about. Breakfast was the best we had in Ecuador - the choice was absolutely incredible, I just couldn’t try everything as there is so much to choose from, everything tasted great. The only minor thing is that there are 2 bottles of water in the room but you can’t get bottles of water from anywhere else in the evening as it’s not recommended to go outside at night and the hotel do not provide extras.

Exceptional stay. Having traveled extensively, I can confidently say this is one of the finest hotels in the world. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. A true 5-star gem." Especially you great crew, who are fantastic. Many thanks for Juan Pablo, during my check out he was so attentive to me and my forthcoming trip.

After 30 days in Peru trip we wanted to end our trip experience in Ecuador. We book this hotel because the reviews were decent. We booked a room in the Premium Floor with 6 months in advance. The day before arrival the hotel canceled my reservation for the Premium Floor and supposedly gave us an upgraded room. It was a downgrade. The room 644 was smelly with mildew smells and the A/C didn't go below 23C. It was hot and humid inside the room I couldn't sleep the entire night. The reception desk didn't want to change our room and didn't allow us to cancel my reservation. A total disappointment all together for a so-called 4 star hotel. I went to a different section of the hotel and the rooms looked newer and cleaner. For some reason the staff refuse to move us to one of those rooms. When in Guayaquil save yourself a headache and choose other much better and a higher quality hotel such as the Hilton, Radisson and Wyndham. I wish I knew this before making reservations here. P.S. the only satisfaction was the breakfast selection.
