Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

My husband and i have just returned from the most amazing 12 nights at this truly beautiful and magical resort. All the amazing reviews we had read prior to arriving had our expectations set incredibly high, but they were completely blown out of the water!! From the pristine water and divine white sands, absolutely amazing reef and marine life, stunning over water Villa with plunge pool, the most comprehensive and diverse food and wine menus (with every meal being a 5 star experience), to the most incredible staff we have ever encountered. The experience of staying here is truly one of the most special things you will ever do and words honestly do not do it justice. Thank you to the most gorgeous team of people who all work so tirelessly to make every aspect of your stay just perfect. This was a holiday we will never forget and we are already trying to work out when we can come back!!

Eleven nights here for our honeymoon, in an overwater sunset pool villa, and we would go back. Two things worth knowing before you book. Getting in is the usual Maldives sequence: a long haul into Male, then a domestic flight and a speedboat, and the resort keeps Bangladesh time rather than Maldives time, so daylight runs later into the evening. Our flight into Male was delayed, and we missed the domestic connection entirely. The Park Hyatt representative meeting us walked us to the domestic terminal, put us on a different flight to a different airport with our bags, and redirected the speedboat to meet us there. It was dealt with as though it had been the plan all along. The house reef is one of the reasons to come here. From the villa we could step straight down into the water and snorkel any time we felt like it. A practical tip: check out snorkel gear from the dive center and keep it for the whole stay, rather than arranging it again every morning. Beyond the house reef, we did a dolphin cruise with the pod right alongside the boat, an off-island snorkel day with turtles, rays, sharks, and beautiful coral, and a night snorkel we would happily do again tomorrow. The dive team and the scuba instructor were excellent company and good at their jobs. Book the private island day. The resort has a second, uninhabited island and will leave you there on your own with a raised bungalow, food and drinks, and somewhere shaded to sit. No other guests, and no staff hovering discreetly in the background either. We added a drone photo shoot while we were there. It is the rarest thing the resort offers and the thing we will still be talking about in twenty years. Worth booking the resort photographer, Hussain. He did a sunset session, a second one on the private island, and drone video, and delivered edited selections from both shoots plus a cut reel of the drone footage. Excellent work, and more of it than we expected. What lifted it above a beautiful setting was the staff. Dina, our villa host, Nazim from activities, and Avnish, the cuisine manager, checked in with us at meals day after day for eleven nights, and none of it felt like a box being ticked. Avnish came by on one of his days off simply to say hello. Housekeeping serviced the villa twice daily, and small things kept appearing: towel sculptures and congratulations on the wedding spelled out in grass on several nights, and a bubble bath run for us to return to on our last evening. Avnish took personal charge of feeding the vegetarian among us, and eleven nights never turned into the same few dishes on repeat. The restaurants offer a real range: breakfast runs different freshly cooked stations every day, the beach barbecues turn out custom skewers alongside live Maldivian music and dancing, and the private dinners we booked in the treehouse and on the beach came with menus written specifically for us. Book a night at Koi, the sushi restaurant, while you are there: one of the head chefs was working when we went and sent out a run of things off the menu, and it was the best meal of the trip. We also did plenty of the yoga and the sound bath and meditation sessions, all of which were worth getting up for, and booked the Sehathu couples massage at the Vidhun Spa twice, which is the shortest way to say what we thought of it. You get a whole wing of the spa to yourselves for the treatment, so it never feels like being moved through a schedule. Nazim took us on a guided tour of the island's nature and would appear at breakfast to say what was worth doing that day, which did more for how much we saw than the printed schedule did. One note on timing. We traveled in the off-season. A couple of days brought proper rain and a few were cloudy, and it changed nothing: our night snorkel went ahead in a light drizzle and was none the worse for it. A remarkable place, and the staff's generosity is what we will keep talking about.

We came over for a relaxing vacation and were absolutely blown away by the standard and quality of the Park Hyatt. From meeting us at the airport to the first moment you step onto the island through to the return journey the service is unparalleled. Food is fantastic, activities are great and the location is gorgeous. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Park Hyatt, the island is a true natural paradise and park hyatt makes sure it is always clean and looks like in a dream. The whole team there is amazing, in particular Susanti, Muaz, Mully, Simon and Dani that we had a lot of interaction with were outstanding and made our stay truly special. it is very easy to access the house reef which is around the whole island, so u can just enter it anywhere on the island. of course they offer all kinds of activities e.g. tiger shark dives (which was an absolute WOW experience). I highly recommend park hyatt haddahaa if u enjoy great service, facilities and an easy access reef.

10/10. Staff are exceptional, meals were wonderful and made our 25th anniversary trip magical. A special highlight was snorkeling with the turtles.
