Overall it’s a solid hotel. Convenient location, good restaurants near by, nice rooms and pools. The beach is also superb but taking a 25 min shuttle was a bit of a bummer. Service also wasn’t great at their bars. They seemed understaffed. If the price wasn’t as high, I probably would have walked away with a better rating. However, I’ve stayed at so many hotels in this price range and just didnt feel this was as nice as I expected given the rates.

We have stayed twice at the Princess, most recently when celebrating our son's 50th birthday in Bermuda. Each time, our stay has been near-perfect: comfortable accommodations, good food, a friendly and helpful staff, and superb amenities, like the "quiet pool" for adults without children. Anything negative? Well, some tipsy wedding guests made noise in the hall, but that was no fault of the Princess. Bravo, Princess! We have only good memories.

The staff (Rolly, Pascal, George and crew) at the Gold Concierge Lounge are top-notch. This is our third year staying there and have never experienced such service. We hope to return every year just because of this!

We had stayed at this hotel once before many years ago and loved it, however this time we were disappointed. Completely different vibe since the Fairmont Southampton has closed and this hotel has obviously increased in size to accommodate. Before it was a peaceful and relaxing environment with easy access to Hamilton. It now feels like a large resort catering for families, weddings and conferences. The adult pool overlooking the marina was busy most of the time, with beds in the shade being high in demand and music being constantly played out of surrounding speakers. The children’s pool is a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the water but again, incredibly busy and we were only able to find two available sun loungers at this pool once during our entire stay (there were none in the shade available at the adult pool) and this was only in the late afternoon as someone else was leaving. The restaurants we dined at during our stay (Intrepid and 1609) were excellent and since reading Trip Advisor, I have noticed a lot of the reviews for this hotel are from guests who weren’t actually staying but were visiting the restaurants. The beach club is 25 minutes away from the hotel and although other reviewers have rated it highly, it is not as breathtaking as most other beaches in Bermuda. It is a small bay with waist high depth water perfect for young children but not so great for adults wanting to properly swim. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but nothing special and always extremely busy. The bedroom was dated and the en-suite bathroom was very small but housekeeping was very good and the room was spotless. We paid for a Fairmont Gold room giving access to the Gold Lounge which was very nice but a disappointment from our previous stay, when the lounge was in a beautiful large manor style room where they served an a la carte breakfast. The staff in this smaller more contemporary style lounge were all extremely friendly and helpful and the snacks provided were very tasty. On our last day we had an evening flight but obviously needed to check out of our room by 11am. Unbelievably the hotel has nowhere for guests who are leaving later in the day to shower and change before departing. We have never come across this before in our travels, every hotel we have ever visited has provided this by either giving access to a spa/gym, communal room or even an outside shower/changing room. Due to the hotel being full, we were unable to pay for a later check-out so we therefore had to change for our flight home in the guest toilets and miss having a shower. As the BA flight back to the UK is always in the evening, this must be a constant problem. I would have given a poor scoring based on so many negatives and the cost of the room ($1100+ per night) however due to the excellent location, restaurants, housekeeping and friendliness of all the staff we encountered I have scored average.

My wife and I could not be more satisfied with the whole experience and will certainly consider future offers from Luxury Link. Our visit exceeded our expectations and thank you, and the wonderful staff at the Hamilton Princess. Together you made this trip very memorable. On arrival at the property the lady at the front desk took great care of us and we actually got an exceptional room upgrade, way better than we expected, and loved our room. At check out, our bill was accurate and included all the benefits offered in your Signature Package, ie free breakfast, $100 Resort Credit, 4th night free. I was so impressed that the hotel fully recognized and totally honored your package, with no questions asked. Every member of staff we associated with at the hotel were really friendly, professional, hospitable and focused on us enjoying our stay. They were so well trained, but the hotel also deserves credit for selecting the right type of employee. We can’t wait to book another trip through Luxury Link and have already shared and recommended your website with several friends.
