We came for an anniversary getaway and really enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint is that we booked a Fairmont Gold Harbor View room specifically for the views, but it ended up being a partial view, if that. Additionally, it was very far from the Fairmont Gold Lounge. Other than that, the stay was close to perfect. The Fairmont Gold Lounge staff was exceptionally nice. Rolly was so friendly and accommodating. His colleagues Peter, Pascal, and George were also very attentive and great. Victoria arranged an anniversary surprise that made our stay special. We hope to return one day!

This is a prime spot and the renovations have given it a full range of facilities and the new pool area is a great place to relax and the gym is great for a hotel set up. The rooms are large and well equipped but a little dated. Most of the staff are great but some make it feel like you are ruining their day by asking them to do anything. I asked the concierge to help with a restaurant booking and was told a restaurant was fully booked but no offer to help with something else. I managed to book the same restaurant elsewhere only to find it was 2/3rds full and so it was obvious they just couldn't be bothered. The other issue was the check out where they couldn't reconcile the bills for two rooms and having been promised it was all dealt with the night before I had problems in the morning where the reception staff had no record of things done the night before. If they can nail the staff training and remove the slackers this will be 5stars all day.

We booked an anniversary trip through Expedia and got the Gold Level Experience. I cannot express how wonderful the service was. It was second to none. The Gold Level staff helped us change rooms when our first room had a bad view and were always so friendly and helpful when we went to the lounge daily for breakfast, tea, snacks and desserts. We ate at 2 of the restaurants on property and the food was delicious. The private beach club was also spectacular and the infinity pool was terrific. The service was second to none and I could not dream of booking anywhere else. The only slightly bad thing I could say is the wi-fi was spotty and the stores were a bit on the pricey side but to be expected for an upscale resort.

A wonderful Sunday brunch… If Brian or server was excellent… Hamilton princess often I fly in for work and used to live here … so I am away from home service and food is outstanding. They always have great live music on certain nights and like I said this Sunday brunch is top-notch.

The most comfortable, luxurious and relaxing getaway - gold lounge never ceases to impress with their kindness and attentiveness - Rolly, Peter, George and Pascal make every visit worth it! We cannot wait to be back again soon. 10/10 recommend
