On the secluded northern tip of Hamilton Island, and set in lush tropical gardens, qualia is a completely private hideaway that has been designed for your total secluded relaxation and true sensory indulgence. Each of qualia’s 60 light-filled pavilions faces the water, surrounded by lush tropical bushland within the resort. All pavilions boast the spectacular tropical bushland or stunning postcard views of the Whitsundays.

Before we travelled to Australia, we were informed by a travel industry contact that we should not expect the quality of accommodation to be as good as other places in the world (particularly the Middle East and Far East). Qualia must be the exception to this rule as everything here was first class and amongst the best we have ever experienced. We stayed for 5 nights in a Leeward Pavilion and could easily have stayed longer, as this resort is a piece of paradise. The rooms are large and well appointed. The service is top notch, there are lots of staff, and they are all friendly and willing to help out with your requests. Breakfast is lovely and we ate 3 times in the Long Pavillion which was also lovely, if a bit limited in choice (Pebble Beach restaurant only serves a degustation menu in the evenings and this doesnt suit us). The complimentary golf buggy and chauffeur service make it easy to get around the island - not that we really wanted to leave the resort much as nothing compares to Qualia. We took advantage of the complimentary round-the-island 1 hour boat tour, which was skippered by the fantastic Holly, who made it fun and informative. We were lucky to see 2 turtles on our trip. I believe you can have a private beach drop off/pick up as an alternative, so I suggest booking early for either of these options as they are limited by the tides. Another bonus is the champagne & canapés reception on a Thursday night, which was great whilst looking at the stunning sunset. Overall I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Of all the beautiful resorts I’ve visited around the world, Qualia is about as close to PERFECTION as I’ve experienced. The site is amazingly lush. The staff is universally friendly and helpful. The activities are unique and truly amazing. The food was first-rate! Driving the golf cart (buggy) they provide each guest makes it easy to visit other parts of the island. The rooms (bungalows) are spacious and well-equipped, with views to die for. Truly a world-class experience!

We have been to Qualia Resort almost 7 times now and we keep coming back! We love the location, the rooms, the service, the atmosphere. We love a luxury resort and Qualia does not disappoint x The best tip we can give you is too book your things to do before you arrive to avoid disappointment! We also love having our own buggy to get around - we have travelled all over the world and this is one thing we haven’t seen elsewhere

What a place! Lovely staff and a wonderful location. Super pool area and large comfortable lodges with infinity pool to stay in. Good was fabulous. They will also make you other items on request. For example we had a wonderful seafood pasta with squid, fish, prawns etc. the main pool area is stunning. Lovely location to unwind and relax. The team can also arrange lots of local outings. We did the helicopter out to the Great Barrier Reef staying on the pontoon. Great to see the Reef and swim around. Fab staff and very quick and easy (with champagne of course!). They provide a free golf cart to race around the island. A few shops to see and a deli. Nothing much to keep you away from eating in the hotel. It’s all very safe and clean around the island area. Just watch out for sun burn and make sure you slap the suncream on!! Thank you to the super management and especially the dining staff. Thanks to Bella and Holly who were fab. In fact the all were. Can’t wait to go back.

Okay so the beach house is a bit costly but it’s secluded, in the most picturesque setting imaginable. large pool, huge dining room and main bedroom. Outside shower, and separate bedroom down some steps. Truly a lovely location. Staff can’t do enough for you, including contacting restaurants to rebook meals, ferry you around or simply book anything you wish o do. Helicopter to the heart of the reef was very special, snorkelling the reef was also fun
