On the secluded northern tip of Hamilton Island, and set in lush tropical gardens, qualia is a completely private hideaway that has been designed for your total secluded relaxation and true sensory indulgence. Each of qualia’s 60 light-filled pavilions faces the water, surrounded by lush tropical bushland within the resort. All pavilions boast the spectacular tropical bushland or stunning postcard views of the Whitsundays.

I got a 60-minute full-body massage at Qualia Spa and it was the best massage of my life. Thank you for the attention to detail and for making me feel so good. I’ll definitely be back :)

What a wonderful resort Qualia is! My wife and I stayed 6 nights in a Leeward Pavilion that was extremely comfortable with great Whitsunday views and lacking in nothing. The welcome with Charles Heidsieck champagne was the start to a very relaxed holiday. Dining, be it the à la carte Breakfasts or Dinners, was absolute 5 star. And I loved the extensive Wine Menu. What makes any accommodation memorable is of course the staff. And Qualia Resort has them in spades – all friendly and totally professional. And our thanks to those who pampered us – Meg, Freya, Jorge, Holly, Ava, Fraser, Arthur, Marco, Tiberio, Santiago, Tamika & Ben (Sommelier)

Wow! What a beautiful resort and island. VIEWS FOR DAYS. This was all around stellar. Particularly the service, activities and views. Lovely Best: Rooms are fantastic. A contemporary rustic style. Huge. Amazing views. True luxury. Service strong VIEWS!!!!!!!!!!! Included activities are fantastic…as is the activities staff! Opportunities: The food was a bit too “froo froo” for me. Wanted some options that were simpler and more straight forward. Everything was either prefix or high end fine dining. Even the poolside menu was a bit too sophisticated and didn’t have many simple options. While I enjoy this sometimes, I wanted more choice. The island transport is all golf carts. The one I had was low horsepower. I worried whether it would make it up the island hills without puttering out. Overall loved this place and experience. Images cannot truly capture the specialness

This was an unforgettable stay. The room was spacious and luxurious with a wonderful hanging outdoor balcony. We loved the swimming pool area with the infinity pool overlooking the beach and the cabanas and attentive staff. The grounds were immaculately maintained and the reception pavilion is world class as is the food. The private excursion to Whitehaven beach was a must. We highly recommend the resort.

Before we travelled to Australia, we were informed by a travel industry contact that we should not expect the quality of accommodation to be as good as other places in the world (particularly the Middle East and Far East). Qualia must be the exception to this rule as everything here was first class and amongst the best we have ever experienced. We stayed for 5 nights in a Leeward Pavilion and could easily have stayed longer, as this resort is a piece of paradise. The rooms are large and well appointed. The service is top notch, there are lots of staff, and they are all friendly and willing to help out with your requests. Breakfast is lovely and we ate 3 times in the Long Pavillion which was also lovely, if a bit limited in choice (Pebble Beach restaurant only serves a degustation menu in the evenings and this doesnt suit us). The complimentary golf buggy and chauffeur service make it easy to get around the island - not that we really wanted to leave the resort much as nothing compares to Qualia. We took advantage of the complimentary round-the-island 1 hour boat tour, which was skippered by the fantastic Holly, who made it fun and informative. We were lucky to see 2 turtles on our trip. I believe you can have a private beach drop off/pick up as an alternative, so I suggest booking early for either of these options as they are limited by the tides. Another bonus is the champagne & canapés reception on a Thursday night, which was great whilst looking at the stunning sunset. Overall I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
