Had high hopes of a stay here having had many friends visit over the years. But really under delivered. The main positive was the staff at the spa- always brilliant and amazing treatments. But everything else is really seriously off the mark for what they market as a top end five star resort Service in restaurants very slow, service around the pool very hit and miss (think record was waiting 15 minutes to see someone so we can order a drink and on other occasions having to chase drinks three times). And the resort was at best a third full (can understand based on our experience why!) Limited facilities as well…. Tiny gym, no sauna, a steam room that is so brightly lit you need to wear your sun glasses, but don’t worry- the steam comes up from under the single bench you sit on, so you can’t actually stay in there long enough for the light to hurt your eyes as your knees would be poached before that happens! Housekeeping hit and miss, made worse that when you do call up to ask for two Nespresso capsules, 6 out of 7 times no one actually answered the phone anyway! Breakfast is a stingy offering. Unless you’re a fly, in which case you can freely munch on all the food as it’s uncovered. I’ve never seen a place use eyebrow tweezers to serve blueberries and strawberries, I guess in an attempt to prevent you from being in danger of having your five day. Anyway, you get the point…. Other reports have upped their game massively and qualia seems to have gone backwards big time

Nothing was too much trouble for staff we had interactions with. Free transfers for trips booked as well as to other resorts. Beautiful setting, fantastic accommodation - loved every minute of our stay. Would highly recommend - thank you Qualia 😁

What an absolutely beautiful resort! We stayed in the beach house and it was everything we expected and more. The accommodations were beautiful and the customer service from the entire staff was 5 stars across the board. Patrick is the General Manager and was onsite, visible, and accessible every day speaking with all of the guests to ensure all was well. We had an issue with another hotel restaurant that he even stepped in and called their GM and resolved it for us without a moment’s hesitation. If you have an opportunity to stay at qualia, do it! It’s expensive but worth it and really is THE place to stay on Hamilton Island.

The beautiful turquoise waters are dotted with numerous islands, including Hamilton Island, which is Home to the Qualia resort. Our pavilion was a standalone spacious structure with stunning views. From driving around the resort in our golf buggy, it looked like all of the pavilions shared wonderful views. The resort was immaculately clean and the staff were of a calibre really seen anywhere. The food in the restaurants is in keeping with what you would expect from a quality establishment such as this. The spa was hard to stay away from because each visit was just so good. I can't wait until we can return for another enjoyable visit.
