Beautiful property! Beautiful experience! A perfect stay for visiting Hāna. Ocean front views. Unbeatable location for all sightseeing. We will return.

My family LOVED this resort. I cannot say enough about the staff. We were there during tsunami warnings. The hotel took safety seriously and also took the time to prepare and put out food throughout the evening. Unfortunately, due to the warnings, we did not get to enjoy our beautiful ocean bungalow. . . so I feel like we need a "redo" and would love to come back!

My husband and I stayed at the Hana-Maui resort for our honeymoon. We stayed for 10 nights, which we were quickly told by locals is much longer than most people tend to stay in Hana. We are so glad we did! This resort is beautiful, clean, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a quiet stay. Upon checking in we were given a free upgrade to an ocean view bungalow without even asking! Staff are very kind and helpful, and they have golf carts available to drive you between locations at the resort. We would highly recommend trying the water journey at the spa! We booked the week pass for the spa, and went almost every day to use the hot tub, steam room, and relaxation lounge. We also had a couples massage treatment, which was wonderful. The spa staff very thoughtfully gave us a little honeymoon gift as well, which was just so kind and generous. We happened to be at the Hana-Maui during the tsunami warning on July 30, and the staff handled it extremely well. It's always scary to experience an emergency weather alert, but it can be so much worse when you're away from home and don't know what to expect. Hana-Maui staff came to our room and calmly encouraged us to evacuate to the front desk area. They served refreshments and provided detailed updates about the forecast and potential impact in our location. Their response to the situation made us feel so much more at ease. I'm not sure if we will ever get to Maui again as this was sort of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, but at the very least I need to recommend this resort to anyone considering it. Go and enjoy yourselves, you won't regret it!

WE loved our stay at the Hana Maui, it's such a beautiful property, the attentive staff Fabian driving us around to Selma knowing and helping with all local adventures. Food was great, we would endorse visiting Hana Maui for a relaxing few days.

I am one of those who more likely writes reviews of properties that do not meet expectations. This is one of those. I have been to this Hana resort several times over 20 years -- this is the first visit following its takeover by Hyatt. As always, the setting is wonderful -- fortunately that has not changed over these many years. But other things have. With the exception of several of the porter/ drivers (shout out to Kefa) and one or two folks at the front desk, the staff is at best indifferent, (especially the breakfast crew.). Amenities are there but they are quite bare- boned -- for whatever reason, there is no longer an on-site restaurant nor anything resembling a "resort environment." Yes, there is a nice pool, and our deluxe bungalow was comfortable, but there was little "engagement." I would have been thrilled if this were marketed as a bed and breakfast, but as a resort, it no longer satisfies. As a "local" (albeit from Oahu), I love Hana and will likely come back, but to an alternative accommodation -- one that better emphasizes place. If I want a "resort" -- or at minimum, a fruit basket in the room and a flower lei greeting, I will look elsewhere. The only "luxury" here is the price.
