I stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake from October 5th to 8th, 2025, sharing a twin room with a friend. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The resort’s location near West Lake and major attractions made it both peaceful and convenient. The gardens, swimming pool, and spa are absolutely beautiful and create a feeling of calm luxury. The service was exceptional, with every detail thoughtfully handled. The staff were attentive and kind, and the food was excellent throughout our stay. A special thanks to Lulu Liu for making everything perfect and ensuring our time at the resort was unforgettable. I can’t wait to return!

Just wrapped up an incredible vacation at the Four Seasons West Lake in Hangzhou, and I’m beyond excited to share my experience! From the moment I checked in, Lulu and Maggie took such good care of me – they went above and beyond. They showed me around the hotel, explained all the facilities, and even helped me handle a little hiccup that popped up during my stay. Super chill and always ready to help – major shoutout to them! Now, let’s talk about the Jinsha Hall – if you’re into amazing food, you gotta try their crispy chicken. No kidding, it’s fire! Best thing I ate all week, hands down. The whole restaurant was top-notch, really top-tier service and vibes. This stay definitely made me fall in love with Hangzhou all over again. The Four Seasons West Lake is gonna be a big factor in my next trip back, no doubt about it. If you’re looking to have a killer time in Hangzhou, this place is a total no-brainer! Thanks again to Lulu, Maggie, and the entire team. You guys made this trip one to remember!

You would think that it's hard to find worldclass hotels in a city that's less known by international tourists, but Four Seasons West Lake Hangzhou easily held its own against some of the best hotels in the world, so much so that we visited twice within a span of two months. Situated within a 10-minute walk to the scenic West Lake, Four Seasons West Lake Hangzhou is a stunning property with intricately designed Chinese-style courtyards and gardens. The rooms were spacious, starting from 63 sqm, and featured an enclosed balcony overlooking the courtyard and garden below. It was only until a few months later that we found out that we were in fact upgraded both times to the Premier Garden-view Rooms as the staff did not tell us both times that an upgrade was offered. The entry-level room does not have a balcony - just FYI. Service was as good as it gets. Every staff member we had the pleasure of interacting with during our stay was more than warm and hospitable, as you would expect from Four Seasons. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful, and you can order fresh Dim Sum from the famed Jin Sha Restaurant. The restaurant itself, however, did not impress. Well certain dishes were indeed stellar, it simply does not justify the price tag. There are certain hotels out there, and while mostly pleasant, you just wouldn't mind skipping over to try something else. This is not that kind of hotel. It made damn sure that from now onwards, as long as I visit Hangzhou, this is where I would like to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake Hotel in April. The hotel impressed us with its spacious room, excellent service, and warm-welcoming staffs. The concierge staff was exceptionally helpful, providing insightful recommendations that truly enhanced our trip. As it’s our first time to Hangzhou, we greatly appreciated the valuable information he shared. His restaurant suggestions were fantastic, and their assistance with reservations made dining seamless. A charming touch was the provision of snacks in our room during the first two days. I particularly loved the tea paired with green bean cakes and chocolates. It’s pity that they weren’t available for purchase! The hotel shop had a wonderful selection of souvenirs, where we bought some hand-crafted teapot, cups, and a stylish Han shirt. Hanging around the shop was a delightful experience. The hotel’s comfortable environment, surrounded by many trees and grass. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering a diverse selection of food, including dim sum from a Michelin-recognized Jin Sha restaurant. Our stay package included the boat trip. We opted to upgrade to an electronic boat, and it was absolutely worth it! This allowed us to enjoy West Lake’s breathtaking scenery away from the crowds. A special surprise from the hotel was receiving a beautiful bouquet, adding another thoughtful touch to a memorable experience. Four Seasons truly knows how to exceed expectations. I also like the hotel’s instant communication through the hotel app, which allowed for quicker responses compared to email. This efficient response sets Four Seasons apart from other luxury hotels. We dined at WL Bistro and Jin Sha during our stay. The WL Bistro offered great service, and my child loved the seasonal pasta. He said it was tasty. Jin Sha, a Michelin-starred restaurant, just delivered fair quality of food and service. Honestly, it didn’t fully meet my expectations. We also reserved a hotel car for airport transportation, and the staffs were incredibly nice and helpful. While the tea plantation tour was an interesting experience, it may not suit those who prefer more relaxed activity. Our early April visit meant encountering quite a few flies, and the stairs were slippery due to previous rain, which unfortunately led to my child slipping (thankfully, without injury). Although the tea planting session was enjoyable, the latter session was less satisfying. After the tea garden staff had shared insightful knowledge, the session quickly shifted into the sale of supplements and tea, which was disappointing given the tour cost CNY 1,800—we expected a purely educational experience, enjoyable tea time with beautiful view but free from commercial upselling. A minor issue was the room temperature fluctuation after midnight. For the first two nights, the temperature automatically alternated between very hot and very cold, but it thankfully became stable for the last two nights. Overall, Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake offers luxury and relaxing stay.
