Capella Hanoi

First I must say I have never seen so many reviews just for the spa. Do people not stay at this hotel ? Sunny must be a rock star masseuse to garner sooo many reviews mentioning her. We too had a couples massage during the 7 nights we spent at the Capella. It was wonderful. I was suffering from what I thought was a back spasm and the girl (not sure her name) did a wonderful job. They even offered to deliver heat packs to our suite. We took them up this offer for at least two nights. Check in was good, we had a suite that was a little too disjointed in design for us. A large dining area but nothing but a kettle that we could not figure how to use. No coffee maker. Bedroom was very small and filled with furniture. It was on the curved side of the bldg which made it feel even smaller. Bathrooms were unique, closets too small and hard to open. Housekeeper was superb and any staff member we met were cordial and helpful. Each night the turndown attendant left a beautiful wood carved dragonfly or turtle, each a different color. Our room was also decorated for anniversary with a balloon and treats. We did have a noise issue each morning, early. Music playing down on the street. We were told it was only for one day, but went beyond that to almost everyday. We sleep with a sound machine which helped but not entirely. Each evening they have a band and singer in the lobby bar. Drinks are included, not sure if it’s all drinks, they have a menu. Also we had some nice food in the lobby as well. We also enjoyed their restaurant Backstage for breakfast and dinner as well as the restaurant upstairs, I will review that separately. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and were glad we chose it over the Metropole hotel across the street. We went over there for dinner and were happy to get back to the Capella. It is a cruise ship/tour co hotel and busy. Very large and old as well. We also stayed at the Capella in Bangkok as part of this trip. Will review that soon.

Very relaxing spa and massage. Im trying the Vietnamese massage, Tùoi is very experienced.

Couples massage with Sunny and Lucy was excellent. Would recommend!

The atmosphere is so glamorous and one of a kind. The decor is unlike any spa I have been too. The treatment is top notch.
