On a significant evening marking our graduation from Dartmouth, my friends and I chose to celebrate at The Bar at Hanover Inn. Our group, diverse in ethnicity, hoped for a memorable night; however, the experience was marred by the conduct of one of the bartenders, named Brittany. Despite the festive occasion, we were met with distinctly unequal treatment. Several of my Black peers and I felt particularly disregarded by Brittany, whose demeanor suggested a reluctance to serve us based on our racial backgrounds. This was not merely a case of misinterpretation, as the difference in service was palpable: While the white males in our group received attentive service, those of us of color, experienced noticeable neglect. It is essential for hospitality venues, especially those associated with educational institutions, to uphold values of equality and respect towards all patrons, regardless of race. This experience unfortunately cast a shadow over our celebration, and I urge the management to address these disparities in treatment to ensure a welcoming environment for all future patrons. On the flip side I did get great service from Frank at the front service, bartenders Kelsey and Logan at the Pine So if you're person of color and Brittany is working at the bar, get a table or make a friend with someone white and place you're orders through them :)

My daughter and I stayed here while attending a baking class at the King Arthur Bakery just down the road. Everything was exceptional. Such a cozy place to be stuck amidst an unexpected snow storm! We loved being able to walk to the college and town. All of the employees were great.

Was heading home from Spain to Vermont after a 2 week trip when I hit a major blizzard (March 20th!) on my way home on I89 - after the temps dropped from 44 to 28 in 5 minutes and the crazy snow/ice, I decided it was not worth it to drive another 2 hours to get home. I called from the road and they said they could give me a special last minute rate since they were not crowded and when I got there, they also upgraded me to an incredible junior suite - that was so kind! As a Dartmouth alum, I've stayed here many times but this was one of the best stays ever as it was a very quiet night and the staff could not have been nicer. Special shout out to all the front desk folks and to Olivia at the bar who was AWESOME and helped me curate a light meal and drink. I'm so glad I stopped over on my home to stay here overnight. Thanks to all!

The Hanover inn was wonderful. My entire team stayed here for a business trip and the staff couldn't be nicer and the hotel couldn't have been more attentive and wonderful. PINE was DELICIOUS - the best place that we ate during our stay in NH. The front desk staff was awesome - they helped with making copies for me, they were great about our early mornings and needing our car, my entire team all said that we'd all stay here again. If I come back to NH, I will only stay in the Hanover inn.

Very lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. Amenities include robes and slippers, as well as coffee and tea in room. Very comfy beds and nice furnishings in room. Sophisticated design and well- appointed in both room and hotel. Restaurant on property and excellent location to the college-- which is directly across the street.
