Hanover Inn Dartmouth

From the moment of arrival to the moment we left the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The Inn had kept up with the FF&E - we truly have no complaints. There was a twittering in our AC when we arrived, once I made an inquiry at the front seat they said no problem, just need to release a little air. Voila - when we returned it was fixed. We had a lovely cocktail out on the veranda of Prime which was fab. We then had dinner AND breakfast from room service. Once again service and food was outstanding! We recommend staying at The Hanover Inn!!

Great location, obviously, for Dartmouth. Helpful hotel and valet staff. Nice, clean rooms with more space than average to stow clothes. Rooms could use better lighting. Convenient coffee in lobby in the morning. Dinner at Pine was a huge disappointment. I will write a separate review for the restaurant.

I was very surprised and disappointed by the lack of coordination and professionalism, particularly when dealing with the accounting team. I tried calling several times to change the card used for payment, but no one ever picked up. I also sent an email, which went unanswered. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of support from the front desk. Despite explaining the situation and our repeated attempts to resolve it, they seemed unwilling to help and simply kept transferring us to a voicemail that was never returned. Overall, the handling of what should have been a relatively simple request felt very unprofessional. Aside from this, the room itself was acceptable, although there was neither soap nor shampoo in the bathroom, which was surprising. My father’s room also had an issue with the lighting that the team at Hannover was either unable or unwilling to resolve during our stay. Dinner at The Pine was fine, although the restaurant had very little atmosphere. Overall, the stay was disappointing, not so much because of the facilities themselves, but because of the poor communication, lack of responsiveness, and apparent unwillingness to help resolve relatively straightforward issues.

Loved my stay at the Hanover Inn! It’s a beautiful hotel with a fantastic restaurant! Everything is so clean and wonderfully updated. The location is perfect for shopping, exploring the outdoors, and much more. I will definitely be back!
