Reviews for Pink Sands Resort

Not Good....great beach/location is the only thing they got going here

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Just got back from a week - family of four, chose Pink Sands via Chase The EDIT program.........we travel pretty extensively and stay at a broad range of resorts so feel like we walk into most of our trips and the accomodations with pretty level expectations. Positives - one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and amazing clean ocean all around the island - proximity to many other resorts, restaurants, and marinas for activities on the water, not many other people at the resort - so we felt like we had it to ourselves for at least a few days of the week Negatives - Basically everything having to do with this resort, we paid over $20k for a 2BR villa - and really regret the decision. Could get into specifics - but there were so many related to poor service, accommodation, just the overall vibe - trust me - you will be happier not here.... In short - If you are looking for a spot with great amenities, service, general cleanliness, any type of responsiveness to requests - highly recommend both the Dunmore, or Coral Sands. Though rooms may be smaller and accommodations a bit tigther overall - the experience, service, and amenities FAR outweigh anything at Pink Sands. If looking for larger accommodations - would definitely consider renting a house on the South End of the island.....Really easy island to get around on via golf cart - and fun to go to different restaurants and nightlife off property wherever you stay.... New airport coming into ELH slated for 2027 but more likely 2028+, is going to drive even more ppl to Harbour Island and Eletheura - and I'm guessing this property goes to someone else with greater ambitions, in the meantime - wouldn't recommend this hotel at all........especially at current prices.

The best stay on Harbour Island!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

An unforgettable stay from start to finish. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. Corey and Courtney went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality elevated our entire trip. We can’t wait to return!

Exceptional Staff, But the Property Needs Serious Attention

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Pink Sands has a staff that genuinely cares, and that counts for a lot. But the property itself has enough unresolved issues that I can't give it more than three stars in good conscience. THE HIGHS The service culture here is the real deal. Every day I was greeted as "Ma'am," and the staff had a genuine can-do attitude; no one dragged their feet. Several individuals stood out: • Lucy (Server) was a bright light from the moment I arrived. She is warm, kind, and a wonderful first impression. • Stephan (Sous Chef) worked hard to prepare food I could actually eat given my allergies. That kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed. • Ninja (Manager) stepped up during my last two nights and did her best to accommodate me. She also personally accompanied me from checkout to the airport at checkout; complimentary, and as a private service. A true standout. • Nakita (Server) was a delight. Our conversations made meals genuinely enjoyable. • The gentleman who cleans the beach every morning does a stellar job. Note: some staff were a bit flirty, which may or may not bother you depending on your travel situation. I though this was worth mentioning. The beach is beautiful and perfect for long walks. It's more coral than pink, yet still remarkable, soft, and didn't get hot throughout the day. THE LOWS Food allergies were a serious concern. I experienced several reactions; inflamed tongue and throat, and stomach upset from the fruit, salads, and other dishes. The resort lacks adequate allergen-aware options (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). This needs to be a priority, and not an afterthought. There was also no pre-arrival outreach to ask about dietary needs or preferences. As far as Villa and Cottage Categories: The "upgrade" to a Cabbage Cay villa was, in reality, a downgrade. This unit should not have been in service: • Loud A/C and fan • Tiny bathroom with a trip hazard • Bathroom door wouldn't close — likely wood swelling from water damage • Peeling frosted glass divider • Visible water damage throughout • A/C vents that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years • Condensation dripping from the roofline directly over the main door — you'd get dripped on every time you came and went • The mattress was depressed on both sides and in need of replacement • The bathroom appeared designed for two people but had a single, off-center mirror with lights misaligned from the vanity • No table in the room — I had to request one be brought in Other issues: • Lumpy pillows, and a mattress that needs replacement — noticeable at this price point • I was overcharged for breakfasts at checkout • One window faced a bare concrete column — an easy cosmetic fix • Sand burrs on the walking path to the beach from the oceanfront rooms — a safety issue Bottom line: The people here are genuinely wonderful, and if the property matched their standard, this would be a 5-star stay. Right now, there's too wide a gap between the warmth of the staff and the condition of the rooms. I hope management invests in closing it.

WONDERFUL VACATION - 2BR VILLA WAS HEAVEN

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We had a truly wonderful experience at Pink Sands. We stayed for 8 nights in the Oceanfront Cottage which is so lovely and you can walk right down to the stunning beach. It was perfect for our family - 2 br and we brought my mom and my 10 month old baby. While baby napped, we were able to relax on the deck. There's so much to do on the island between shopping, boat trips, dining & drinks.. it's the opposite of the type of vacation where you're trapped at the resort. The dinner & breakfast restaurants at the hotel are so lovely and were so accommodating for our baby. One quick note is that service at the hotel could be slightly improved - I think they were a little understaffed, so one morning the room service took a really long time, they didn't have an espresso machine working for a few days, etc. Though I'm of the mind that if you are coming to Harbour Island you should be able to chill and go with the island vibes - its not a corporate type of place where everything is perfect but that's also part of the charm. That being said - there were also moments where the service was exceptional and had such a warm, personal touch. The guys who do food and drink service at the pool and beach were so lovely and attentive, and at times it was nice that they sort of leave you alone and aren't hovering. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we are eager to return!

A Stay Worth Having

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

Although my stay at the Resort was very short, it was very memorable. As I arrived at the Resort I was greeted by a very friendly Bellman (Dexter) who escorted me to the Front Desk where I met a table full with smiling faces and a warm greeting at the Front Desk (Everica, Astralia & Vanessa). There I was offered a complimentary glass of Sparkling Wine and a short and sweet check in process. As I got to my Amazing Cottage (Bird Cay), there were a few delicious complimentary amenities that greeted us as we opened the door. went over to the Blue Bar where the view of the Ocean was breath-taking. I was greeted by a loving server (Elena) and a cool bartender (Amari). The service there was nothing short of amazing. After resting up a bit, we went to dinner at the Malcolm 51. There was a live band playing great music to go along with the awesome service and nice calm ambience of the restaurant. My servers (Andy & Rose) were pleasant and made sure we were happy the whole time. The bartender (Michael) knows exactly what he's doing because those drinks were very refreshing. But a HUGE shoutout goes to the Chefs (Marvie & Jamaal) that prepared our meal. Also, the Headman (Jakub) keep ensuring that everything was going good for us. Now the night is over and morning arrives, it time to leave. But before we do, my wife went to breakfast at the Blue Bar, the servers (Nakita & Nayda) were attentive and amazing and the chefs (Essie & Crystal) made sure she got exactly what she wanted. She later went to her scheduled massage session. She hasn't stopped talking how great and gentle the massage therapist (Kae) was and how this service was a must have. Upon arriving at the Front Desk for check out, we were greeted again by another smiling Bellman (Rel) and a desk of smiling faces (Everica & Cicely). The Headlady (Romana) came out and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. Overall I must say that this was A Stay Worth Having!!
