We had a great stay at the hotel. It is 5 star for location, building, atmosphere and architecture. Some of the service was not 5-star. a bit slow and aspects of the room were slightly shabby but we were very happy with our stay and the price we paid (which lucky for us was not a 5-star price). Ate in the posh restaurant one night to some nice musical accompaniment. Food was good. Also went to the Cabaret Parisien show which was some great old-fashioned entertainment in an old-fashioned theater the likes of which are not easily found back home. Did the free hotel tour with Anabel and really enjoyed it. Got some history and insight and a look at one of the suites used by the mafia bosses back in the day. Would definitely come back and stay.

I stayed in Hotel Nacional on two occasions, the first week of January 2025 and the last week of January 2025. Staff were very polite and friendly, atmosphere was fantastic. Room was very nice - I had an ocean view. One caution - not their fault - musicians ask if you have a request, then hit you up for a tip afterwards, so if you say yes and make a request, be prepared to pay.

Although very nice the hotel Is a bit dated and could do with some TLC. Staff were friendly and helpful but always looking for a tip. Rooms wiring needs to be looked at. The fridge wasn’t plugged in so we couldn’t keep water cold and there was no way we were going to f to touch the wiring. Hair dryer cable was so heavy you had to hold the plug into the wall in the bathroom. Nice meal Around the pool before we transferred back to the airport and you could extend your check out time for 50 $ or €. It was clean and comfortable.

We went to visit the famous Hotel and explored ourselves, going around and making our own discoveries; the pool, restaurant, gardens, Cigar and Coffee room etc. I post few photos which are self explanatory. Worth a visit. We enjoyed the coffee made with the ancient Italian Coffee machine which was exquisite.

We found the hotel delightful! Of course it’s old, but that is part of its beauty and charm. Havana is a gritty hustle and this place provides a much needed oasis. Particularly (and unexpectedly) enjoyable was the cigar tasting. Yahnet is passionate about Cuban culture, extremely knowledgeable about cigars and a warm and hospitable hostess. Was (as a non smoker) an unusual highlight of our visit. Sincere thankyou Yahnet!!
