In this Hotel, there's a fantastic Cigar Lounge, the Cigar Bar My review is about it, had a great time in a beautiful cigar-Rum pairing service delivered here by Alberto Delgado What a great time! Alberto Delgado is one the Habanos Sommelier of this Lounge, since our arrival we felt so good, the ambience of the place makes a perfect atmosphere for the Cuban Habana and Rum lovers. The staff is amazing, we thank Jairo and Dalila for a great service, always a smile, but definitely Alberto was the Superstar of the experience, we were amazed how he masters the cigar/rum knowledge, history and processes, following his recommendations we had an amazing time paring Habanos, Cuban rum and a great coffee ☕ 👏👏 Knowledge, expertise, great recommendations and fun! Thanks to the Staff and Alberto, for such an amazing experience, definitely we are coming back and repeating, looking for tastes in others Habanos

I got very impressed with the atmosphere and the kindness of the hotel staff. Always making you feel home, starting with the front desk and the personalized follow up from Mrs. García at the Guest Relations desk. I will definitely come back to enjoy its beauty and the excellent service of such a 5 starts hotel.

The location, right next to the capital building, central park and old town, is pretty good for walking to most of the main tourist sites in Havana. It also makes for some stunning views from the roof top pool which for me is the highlight of the hotel. The hotel is well maintained and the amenities are a good standard and kept clean. The internet connection from the room was good and was readily accessible in the public areas. The breakfast buffet was a decent standard with a mix of pastries, cooked items, fruits and cereals. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. My only minor issue and this was a recurring problem in Cuba was that the water in the shower was at best luke warm and never hot. First thing in the morning seemed to be the warmest and by evening it was decidedly cool. Great hotel in a brilliant location with stunning views if you can accept luke warm showers.

We had booked a suite which was really worth it . The first room we were given had no air gin in bedroom so we asked to be moved which we were . Our new too. Had a massive balcony Breakfast was ok - they make omelettes etc - tea and coffee terrible thou The only downside is as soon as you step outside you are hassled by people asking if you want a taxi , cat , lift money including kids We did a walking tour with Alan who sucked us in and befriended us . Ed then booked a car trip in an d fashioned car - paid him but of course the car did not show up nor did we see him again . I will post a photo of him so you don’t get conned . The car trip was very good - beware they take you into the start of the jungle to get a drink - very expensive - 50 dollars for your drinks ! We booked two restaurants defo recommend - los mercaderrs was lovejy especially the staff . Cuban night not worth the money - food not for me

I have visited Cuba before and loved it. My travel agent originally quoted a hotel across the square which I had stayed at on my last visit. I requested a re-quote for this hotel and I’m so glad I did. This building is a mix of old architecture with touches of new additions which all works well together. Staff very helpful and can’t do enough for you. Meals adequate. A plentiful selection of food. Havana has changed a lot since my last visit but has not lost any of its charm. Lots to see and do and well worth visiting if only to see the old buildings. Please try a tour in a classic car. The only downside to staying here (which is generic in Havana wherever you stay) are the people hanging around outside offering to help for a charge or begging. I understand Cuba is a poor country and I will always try to help but it becomes a repetitive process to say no. Especially when the same people keep coming back. If like me you want to help these communities, take colouring books & colouring pens, Notebook &pens, Old items of clothing, travel size toiletries and sweets. These are items the locals find hard to come by and they are appreciative of what we take for granted.
