Exactly the quirky, upscale hotel we enjoy. Squeaky floors (not noticeable while sleeping), early to mid-2000s architecture and decor, and wonderful service. The grounds were exceptional (lovely riverfront hikes) and they and the hotel were very dog-friendly, with bowls, a toy, and dog biscuits in our room when we arrived. Kevin at the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful or kind and the lady at the desk in the morning—unfortunately we never got her name—was equally gracious. I’d mistakenly booked a week before we were actually visiting and Kevin called me about 9 to see when we were arriving and helped me rebook for the correct nights. The on-site restaurant was five stars, too, both for breakfast and dinner. Well worth the trip off our direct route. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely return. One warning—upstairs rooms appeared to be accessible only by steep stairs, so if you have disabilities, be forewarned.

Another excellent stay at Settlers. I have become a regular do to work assignments. Sue always makes sure everything is perfect as well as the other head woman although I forgot her name. Everyone is super. I had to arrive at midnight and the Inn keeper was up waiting for me. I forgot a sweatshirt and Kevin promptly called me. Everything is perfect. The room could be a bit chilly so I brought an extra blanket. They have blankets but I likes my own. I have attached photos. Breakfast is included. I stayed a few days. I appreciate everyone there for always going above and beyond. The Weis Pharmacist❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were personable and efficient. Our room was nice and clean. The only down side was the breakfasts. On our last morning we arrived at 8am for breakfast and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. So not busy. 45 minutes later our breakfasts were served and we had no time to eat it as had to leave for the airport. See other review about the inability of the "chef" to cook eggs!

Had a wonderful night at The Settlers Inn. My wife and I had eaten at the restaurant numerous times, but had never stayed here. We were arriving late to the area and called to check availability. We were offered a Mid-week rate that was very competitive and included breakfast. The room (#206) was large and well furnished. It included a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, king bed, and overlooked the garden. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend it and will gladly stay again.
