We had two rooms for a night on our trip around Iceland. We were met on arrrival by the owner and greeted warmly. The hotel has an absolutely terrific restaurant and dinner was outstanding along with a serious choice of wines. The rooms were well appointed as was the cozy bar which serves excellent cocktails. The outdoor hot tubs were fun too - thoroughly recommended

The hotel was great. There’s a small area where you can play board games. The room itself is a good size. I thought the beds were to hard for my liking, but that’s just me. The hotel was proactive enough to include a fan since it does get stuffy in the rooms, even with the window open. The restaurant was great and the pricing wasn’t much different from other places in Iceland. There’s staff were awesome and gave my child a book about Iceland and the hotel. Overall, I would love to stay here again. It is quite pricey so I would probably limit to one night again.

We had a great stay at hotel Ranga. We had a junior suite overlooking the river, which was lovely. I liked being on the second floor for the view and not too close to the hot tub. The food is excellent. Breakfast is included and actually so was the minibar, which they stock daily. That’s a nice touch. It may be bc it was a suite, but I’m not sure. It’s a great location to get to Vik or see the main south coast sites. We liked exploring Hella, too. They offer you the chance to buy a box lunch to take in the morning with you since it can be tough to find food on the road. We did that twice, and it was delicious. Staff was wonderful. Lamb, cod, beef, etc were so good at the restaurant. And the drinks are yummy too! Highly recommend this hotel. We would love to come back and see the northern lights.

Wonderful hotel for a stay when traveling the south coast of Iceland. Peaceful, with a wonderful restaurant and great, attentive service. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms are basic—most travelers are hiking or doing outdoor activities in the area. The showers are great, the rooms very clean. We hope to come again!

The staff is first class, the restaurant is outstanding -second to none, the bar area is fun and the grounds are beautiful. -Also loved breakfast options! We had 3 couples on our vacation.
