Hotel St. George

This review is very late, but I still wanted to share it. I spent the night before our wedding at St. George with my bridesmaids, and then our wedding night there with my husband, last New Year’s Eve. Our wedding group had all sorts of strange requests for the front desk, and everything was handled with a smile. We never felt like we were being a bother – on the contrary, we felt truly welcome. The service was highly professional and genuinely heartfelt – almost moving! Breakfast was excellent. One morning we had it at the restaurant, the other was served in bed – both were perfect in their own way! The rooms were incredibly stylish, and the spa experience was so relaxing… Honestly, we have nothing but praise, and absolutely no complaints – which is rare for us 😄 Thank you for playing such a big part in making our special day unforgettable ❤️ We hope to return to St. George to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. 5 nights and then back for a further night, this was a truly excellent hotel -great staff, great location and good rooms. The breakfast room could be a little crowded but the breakfast team were outstanding in terms of seating and serving people and keeping everything running smoothly - a real team. Reception was also very good - mention here Agnes who looked after us very well and not least looking after a jacket that had been left behind. we asked for a quiet room and that is what we got even though a building closeby was being refurbished. The location was tremendous -by the park and off the main street and near a number of very decent restuarants. We will return.

Last Friday I had a room booked to spend the night with my wife. She was finishing work at 3pm, so I arrived a bit earlier to the hotel to ask if I could leave a bouquet of flowers to be put in the room before I went to pick her up. A friendly receptionist offered to have an early check in free of charge since the room was ready. She also offered a flower vase and asked if it was a special occasion or if I needed any further assistance. We then made use of the Spa which is lovely and my wife was really happy with the treatment that we booked. The following day we had a great start of the day with a lovely breakfast. The whole team was really professional and friendly.

Perfect location in the middle of Helsinki. Beautiful rooms with real character. Very warm welcome with efficient friendly staff. Lovely bar if you need a break from sight seeing. Great cafe down stairs which was super convenient for a traditional pastry. Would highly recommend a little break staying here.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a central location, easy to walk to the harbor or other Helsinki attractions. I had a large room with a small balcony on the sixth floor which overlooked the Helsinki Cathedral. Also had a separate couch (which could use a small table in front IMO). King size bed with multiple pillows from which to choose and a very large bathroom. Several nice touches including L:A Bruket products and Malia diffuser. The breakfast was also quite nice. Last, the front desk were very helpful and accommodating. I asked for dinner and they suggested the hotel restaurant Boon Nam. What was awesome is she never asked my name or room - simply made it and everything worked seamlessly.
