Gross! Just really dirty. You walk in the door and there’s a gorgeous view! But you start to focus in and yuck! Everything is old, and I mean everything. And very unkept. I agree with the review from March that stated he’d give this place a try because it’s a Marriott…….so did I and it was a mistake! Not even close to the most base level of Marriott. It’s a shame because they have great bones to create an awesome retreat but it’s so neglected it’s really sad! Pool, spa and gym are closed but not mentioned on website. When I say everything is dirty, I mean everything: I walked the entire outdoor patio area and couldn’t find one chair cushion without animal droppings or debris of some sort, the indoor chairs were the same, stained, soiled and worn; the one pool (of 2) that was open was filthy with palm tree debris and discolored, cracked concrete; so I tried the gym instead which is a ‘mock’ gym until they ‘remodel’ the real one, it was full of old equipment with cracked screen bikes; in the rooms, the housekeeping lacked massively: dirty old, torn bed skirts, dirty carpets, stained and unsightly corners in the bathroom and shower, toilet hinges are dirty, beds with literal body-shaped mattresses, and don’t look underneath at the decades old stains (I’m sure unhealthy in many ways); walls and baseboards need painting and elevators are filthy and banged up. The only positives was a girl at the front desk with at least a good attitude even though she directed me to the gym that was being remodeled (without mentioning it) instead of the temporary gym; the girl in the coffee shop (who was very pleasant but not knowledgeable about the property either, and a waiter in the restaurant who opened a locked door to let me walk through because I was lost when I went outside. It’s huge and lots of potential but they should close it until it’s ready for guests! I really wish the conference was being held somewhere else. So disappointing!

Property review: Just don't stay there....even if the views are lovely. The entrance is lovely. The rooms are OKAY so lets start with that positive! Poolside: I cannot say enough about the great pool side service. However the lounge chairs were covered in bird poop....some fresh, some dried up. A life guard, once releived of his post by another, walked back and forth and I was praying he would wipe down some chairs....but no. Cleaning the lounge chairs at the pool does not seem important to the management. The first lounge chair I attempted to sit in was broken....so we moved on. Restaurant Review: Not a place for Foodies...or anyone who enjoys food! Ricks restaurant: Watery Hummus described as "credité" came with two carrot slices, four celery stalks, and stale pita bread. The main course was a piece of Extremely undercooked salmon. The salad: The description is difficult here. I'm not sure how one makes shrimp hard and tasteless, but they managed it. The greens were virtually unedible, so we sent it back. Vibe: The vibe by the pool is nice, if you can find a clean, unbroken lounge chair. This property used to be lovely, when it was a Lowes hotel. Now the entire place seems underfunded and run down. Pacific is clearly not putting anymoney into the property so it has seen better days. So sorry for the bad news but don't waste your time. Cute little condos in the village and Cocos has great coffee and lunch items.

Seasonal hotel. Came from Midwest for warm weather resort fun. Front desk service was great and rooms were nice. Hot tub, one pool, lake access all closed. Check with hotel on which resort items are open as they still charge daily resort fee. If anything is complimentary, expect some reminder about gratuity not being included. We tipped but needed to have cash. Waiter pouring our coffee for breakfast buffet, which is included in the rate we paid, gave us a receipt suggesting $17 tip. There is also a tip jar at the omelet station. And another tip reminder for the complimentary welcome drink you get, that is pre- made, and no substitutes allowed. We were here in March. Weather was 72 one day. 78 the other day. The pool water was so cold. Our kid was shivering after sometime. We then relaxed in the sun and watch every single person gasp as they dipped their foot in the water. Must feel great on 100 degree days.

Dirty. Awful service. Read the other reviews. Avoid the staff.....they are not trained well, nor are they up to the Marriott standards that we expect. Very disappointing stay. I suggest Marriott corporate come take a look at this lost property.

I experienced the angriest, most aggressively atrocious behavior from a night auditor in my life. I stay at many hotels and work in this industry. The level of unprofessionalism I just experienced should be grounds for immediate termination. In no world is that acceptable service at a ropeway inn, let alone a "resort". I spent so much time and effort researching the perfect hotel to help me relax from my difficult hotel job. I drove 7 hours, anxiously anticipating waking up overlooking a lake with breakfast in bed. I hesitated for a while because of the ratings but decided to bank on Marriott. I was wrong. Follow the ratings. The night auditor Bridget has a nasty penchant for being unkind. She is not suited to work at the front desk. Ever. Go elsewhere. This hotel is garbage.

We booked the Hyatt Regency at Lake Las Vegas, a five-star property for three nights. It was truly a phenomenal value and some great memories!
