My new favouite hotel
I now have a new favourite hotel. The Marine is simply wonderful. The location would be hard to beat. Their customer service is superb. Everyone took so much care to ensure my visit was one to remember. My room was beautifully presented, very clean, spacious and with a fabulous ocean view. Although I was travelling on my own I always felt safe. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent with a wide choice and very professional and friendly service. When I am next in Hermanus this will be where I shall stay.

Fantastic!!!
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone at the hotel for taking such good care of us. Our flight got in very early, and we had a two-hour drive from the airport to the hotel. We were totally exhausted, but our check-in time wasn't until later, so the staff went out of their way to get us checked in early so we could rest. The hotel is stunning. The room was gorgeous and had the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. The restaurant and bar/tea area are lovely with excellent views and food. The hotel is in a great location for walking along the coast. There are plenty of restaurants and small shops nearby as well. Highly recommend.

Charming comfort
We are locals and come here often for scones and tea in the bar area. Other times we enjoy a light luncheon with a bottle of Bouchard Finlayson Chardonnay. Our favourite spot is outside, overlooking the bay and watching the dassies as they scurry curiously from the fynbos lining the coastline. The décor is a modernist take on old world colonial charm. Staff are well trained, friendly and efficient. Food is fantastic! A thoroughly worthwhile spot! The spa is fabulous and we come for massages sometimes. We even stayed over one night as a treat! And it was a charming and colonial-feel spoil.
