Stunning Property, Yet Late Checkout Was a Nightmare
The Inn & Club at Sea Pines Resort is beautiful, and the Links restaurant is excellent. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts. Butler service helped with baby bottles, and our crib request, $100 hotel credit, and $30 per person breakfast credit were all provided through the Amex benefit. That said, the 4 pm late checkout experience was frustrating and infuriating and nothing shot of sheer harassment. Housekeeping knocked at 11 AM, security at 2 PM, and housekeeping again at 3:15 PM. Even a 2–3 star hotel would have simply called the room to confirm when a guest is checking out even if system showed something different. We were harassed repeatedly in our own room and made to feel unwelcome. For a “luxury” property, sending security to a guest room without a single call is a new low I have ever witnessed

Very relaxing!
The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept. The rooms are very nice and very clean. The food at the Harbourtown Bakery and Fraser’s Tavern is great. Our only complaint is that the charcuterie board at Links is very small for $35.

Nice weekend getaway
The staff was amazing. We loved the beach club and shuttle service everywhere. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway for the family.
