Beautiful, clean ocean front resort - perfect for families. Loved everything about this property. It was small enough so was easy to navigate with the kids but had all the facilities needed. The turtle pond and feeding was so fun! Spectacular beach! Rooms - super clean, hardwood floors so no sandy carpets. Bathrooms can be better as they still have shower curtains. Very spacious and great beds and crisp linens. Pool/Beach - clean and spectacular. Wish there was some more engaging pool games. Service - very prompt but could be friendlier. Food - reasonably priced, they add 15% automatic gratuity, poolside meals were about 12-15$ which is reasonable. Gelato was amazing!! Food at the Seaglass provisions wasnt great ie) dry sandwiches. We loved it and would def be back.

I recently went to the Sonesta with my girlfriend and had a rather poor experience that made me wish I had stayed elsewhere. See below for a list of my grievances: - We purchased the early check-in option when booking the hotel but upon arrival the front desk stated the hotel never did early check-ins (why give the option on your website then?) - Front desk stated they would call us when the room was ready but never did so - After checking-in late, we discovered we were given a room with two Queens instead of the one King like we booked - After informing the front desk, they stated they were out of King rooms on floors 4 and 5 (the room type we booked in advance and paid extra for) and we were put in a room on floor 3 without any compensation - Our room did not have a working safe - The bathroom door in our room would not close - The mini fridge door in our room would not close, rendering it useless - The bike lock we received when we rented bikes from the hotel was broken, stranding us until hotel staff could bring us a new one - Staff in general did not seem like they liked interacting with people The recreation director Cathie was the only person who was actually helpful and seemed happy to be working at the hotel. When you're on vacation you don't want to feel like you made the wrong choice of accommodations and unfortunately that is how we felt staying at the Sonesta. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

We loved our time at the Sonesta for an end-of-summer trip, just my wife, daughter and myself. We noticed the rates in August were much lower than peak season and it wasn’t too crowded either. We stayed in a terrace king room with sofa bed on the second floor and had a nice view of the pool. The room was immaculately clean and a good size for 3 of us. We spent each morning with a coffee from Sea Glass, then the day at the pool. The mini fridge in our room was perfect for storing food for lunches, as the on-site restaurants can be quite expensive. We’d spend the afternoon in the pool or explore the beach. They have blue beach umbrellas and chairs setup for rental through a third party and we used that for our last full day to enjoy the beach. Each evening we’d drive to local restaurants and highly recommend Sandbar, Hudson’s, Carolina Crab Company and Quarterdeck (in Harbor Town). There are paved trails in Shipyard (where Sonesta resides) and they have bikes to rent. All the staff at Sonesta were so friendly and professional. This was the first time we’d been to Hilton Head in 20 years and our first time at Sonesta. We’ll be back next year!

Celebrated our Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandchildren, 21 in total. The staff is outstanding and very attentive. Amenities were great, pool, food, room and overall facility. The facility is on the beach and it was a very short walk to the water. The grandchildren loved the activities and the nightly movies. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back. The concierge, Jeff, was very helpful and very easy to work with.

Just arrived for a family vacation was planned 4 months prior. Arrived to hear that they had double booked my reserved room, so had to accept a lesser room. Not a good start so far - will see how the rest of the stay goes.

My wife and I had a very good time at the Sonesta Resort at Hilton head. Everybody was very polite and helpful. If you want to thank somebody at Sonesta it would be the lady at the Front desk who was so cooperative.
