Totally unacceptable check-in experience
Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite status member. Checked in online for 4:00pm arrival. Due to traffic arrived at 5:00pm. Room not ready. Said they would call us. 45 minutes later and after waiting in line again room still not ready at almost 6:00pm. Manager refused to come out but desk clerk Troy who was nice tried to help. Eventually placed in different lower level room. Property is nice enough but not a good way to start a vacation!

Horrible and disappointed
Horrible customer service. I arrived two hours early to check in and was notified they had canceled my reservation and moved me to a low budget sister property. I received no advance communication from anyone. And they made no further efforts to rectify the problem like at least paying for our transportation or crediting my Marriott account.

Beautiful hotel!
This is a beautiful resort with clean rooms and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed being steps away from the ocean and spending time at the pool and bar area, which is especially well maintained and gives a very relaxing, tropical vibe. However BEWARE of the “Ocean view” rooms. I understand the difference between “Oceanfront” and “Ocean view”, but our “Ocean view” room should not have been considered as such! The view looked nothing like the pictures that are posted on-line when booking. Thank you to the wonderful receptionist, Troy, for saving the day and making our stay at the Westin a great one! We will definitely stay here again!

The Carolina Room
We had a wonderful experience at The Carolina Room yesterday. Theresa was our server for brunch and I have to say that the service was top notch in excellence! She was super attentive, polite, kept our beverages filled and gave us great ideas for our vacation! We will certainly ask for Theresa again! Thanks Theresa!
