Park Hyatt Saigon

Just had a lovely two day stay at the Park Hyatt Saigon. The staff was amazing and the room very luxurious. This definitely held up to the Park Hyatt standard. The location was also very convenient for great shopping and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was top notch. One of the best I’ve ever had. As a Hyatt globalist. They really stepped up and did everything possible to provide the perks. Would stay here again next time I visit HCMC.

The hotel is definitely iconic and historically significant, and for that reason I had fairly high expectations. However, my actual stay was slightly disappointing. The hotel feels so dated that it is more like a boutique hotel than a luxury hotel to me. The French colonial design is impressive, and the service meets the expected standard, especially at check-in, which was very smooth. I was warmly escorted to my room and given an introduction. But the issue is, the room felt very old, although it was clean. I do not understand why the hotel has not renovated it. The mirror was worn and had black spots, and the bathtub is clean but has signs of long time use. Many things looked very dated. The hotel also lacks the sense of space and privacy that a luxury hotel should provide. I stayed on an ordinary weekday, but breakfast at Opera was still very crowded. They are too busy so there is no one to assist guests at the entrance, and the seating layout felt too cramped. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Square One, also did not feel like a fine-dining level restaurant in many aspects.

Lovely experience as a globalist with a pre-approved suite upgrade. Great location, spaciou suite and attentive service. Breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay.

Excellent stay, went for a weekend to enjoy HCMC and also party with A State of Trance and Armin van Buuren. The spa and steam room helped with detox and recovery after the big event.

Amazing experience! I used my Hyatt points, which provided a great value! It is incredible to be able to experience a Park Hyatt using relative fewer points than if staying at a US Hyatt. The staff at the front desk, the front door, and the restaurants were all super attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff were over-the-top with their thoughtful touches! The style of the hotel is French colonial, so, classically beautiful and well-appointed. Mattress was perfect for me, but many would say it is too firm (including my husband). Overall, we loved it. We are now so spoiled! ;)
