I was so looking forward to this short stay. We left the Park Hyatt where we spent 5 great nights, just to see and try this much spoken about hotel. As I have stayed in many LHW hotels, I had a certain expectation based on my experiences at them all over the world. Alas this hotel disappointed in many ways. In fact I can go so far as to say, it actually should not be in Leading Hotels of the World's Portfolio. Here's why: the worst and most uncomfortable pool chairs ever designed. I had to take cushions off chairs. The Park Hyatt pool chairs were like mattresses by comparison. There was no pool service, most people had ro get up and go to the door and request drinks..no cold towels were brought around. No free snacks or icecream or fruit. Nothing just terrible chairs,no service except the opening of doors and laying out of towels. Oh and making me sign my room and time? Weird. The room itself was very nice and the bathroom as well. A poorly designed wardrobe space that didn't permit a below the knee dress to be hung above the only place for one bag. Why not have the ironing board area as a place. Ditch the iron and board. The elevators are silly. 1 to 7 then get out and change? Dumb The Long Bar would have to be the worst and ugliest bar of any 5 star resort i have ever seen. It looked like a cheap pub. Their pizzas were also average, maybe thats why it was always empty. They have a brilliant basement area and never use it, I was told for special events only. The main resturant for breakfast is ok. Cavernous and noisy and really besides fancy Cantonese its the only place to eat. The menu has very limited fish and vegetables options. After a dietary miscommunication of special meals we requested weeks prior to our arrival was mucked up. We ordered a Minestrone soup and a salmon dish and pesto. The pesto was very good but the salmon was a minuscule portion probably only 100 grams. I serve my guests more for an entree. The soup was a clear consume with a few squares of vegetables in the centre of 2 cm of liquid in a shallow bowl! Ha any Italian would of sent this back. We were so hungry and we just ate bread and left deflated and unhappy, even though they didn't charge us. Which was fair at least. The bar never had a vibe but to be fair most hotels we stayed at never had ppl at the bar ( (Park Hyatt and Capella Hanoi did) i think ppl go out . The staff did try and were nice but I got the impression they were not so happy. There was also a huge problem with very loud noise from a concert venue across the river. Apparently there are also problems with the other mall side. Save yourself the disappointment, stay at the Park Hyatt and be a happy satisfied tourist. If you want the Reverie experience go for a drink or to eat....don't bother being a guest. LHW remove this hotel from your portfolio, as it is giving me doubts about the criteria you now use for inclusion.

This is now the second time we stayed at this majestic hotel which is located literally right in the heart of Saigon. It is a very beautiful hotel made of marble everywhere. It is so grand to look at and most important, it is so comfortable to stay in. The staff is amazing throughout. They are so customer friendly and respectful. Two employees that stood out. Uyen, server in the breakfast buffet, was always working very hard every-time we saw her. She was very attentive to all customers needs which is always very busy at breakfast. She was always professional, courteous, and she always smiled. By the way, the breakfast buffet was amazing with great southern dishes and multitude of exotic fruits. D. Phuong of Airport services was so thorough in helping us get from the hotel to the airport gate. This is definitely a Six Star hotel!

The team at concierge, especially Loc and Phu were so helpful. They booked two wonderful tours for us with excellent guides. They also shared all the sites and shopping malls that are not to be missed in Ho Chi Minh City and gave us excellent recommendations. We are very grateful for all the wonderful touches provided at the Amazing Reverie!
