Sofitel Saigon Plaza

Fantastic breakfast at the Sofitel Saigon Square.

I have been staying on this hotel on a regular basis for over seven years and my impressions have gone up and down like a rollercoaster from great, to good to ok, depending on the period of the year, the occupancy ratios and the size of the tourist groups staying there. The price of the hotel has almost doubled but the service was undoubtedly better a few years ago than it is today. Platinum members like myself now enjoy less advantages, and relationships with staff are quite week due to high turnover. On a positive note, the breakfast on the 2nd floor is still great with an excellent manager, and the roof-top pool is a hidden gem despite the construction of the Masan/Techcombank tower which has eliminated half the view! The location of the hotel is also great in the heart of District One and I much prefer the feeling here when compared to MGallery, Pullman or Novotel which are all quite close.

Trinh Ly Vinh Thuan -Marcus in Executive Staff Lounge is a very dedicated staff and also caring staff when I toldvhim that I am a full vegan and this is the first time I realized that Sofitel Saigon Plaza has a special menu for vegan food eater. And Marcus also kept ensuring me that I have sufficient food to consume and to enjoy the nice atmosphere in the executive lounge which I have cherished a lot during my first visit to the executive lounge yesterday and for sure I will go to visit the lounge again this evening. Kudos to Marcus for his smiling face rendered to every customer patrolling the lounge and he is a great asset to Sofitel Saigon Plaza. Keep up the great spirits , Marcus !

Absolutely love this hotel. The service is beyond 5*! Breakfast is amazing! Rooms and service is so fantastic. We stay here every year. Thanks Sofitel!

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Saigon. Special thanks to the Housekeeping team for keeping our room spotless, even when we put DND the whole day and only came out of the room after 7pm and went back late at night. Much appreciated. The Reception team was lovely, warm and welcoming throughout our stay. They are always proactive and offer assistance without any hesitation. We also had a very nice dinner at St25 last Saturday. The lady (Ms. Rinna?) who assisted us that evening was especially warm and attentive, with the most welcoming smile. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable one.
