About the Hotel

Anantara Hoi An Resort is a sumptuous product of the eclectic cultural mix that makes up Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where merchants from around the world traded and left their imprint on the city. Rooms and suites are housed in two- and three-story French Colonial buildings, where a fusion of European and Asian design sensibilities create a contemporary environment accented by rich wood and splashes of color. Great service and food in an ideal location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The hotel has a River View Restaurant that we ate at on the first night after a long day of travel. It was right on the river and the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The service of all the staff was excellent. The hotel is a short walk into town along the river. It is perfect place to come back to after a long day/evening in Hoi An. Its quiet and comfortable.

Hoi A gem of a hotel in great central location.

Beautifully stylish, spoiling and luxurious riverside hotel in a busy but quiet location close to centre of Hoi An. My wife and I stayed in a gorgeous river view suite (104). Service excellent from super friendly, welcoming staff. Greeted and overseen by Hong who was incredibly kind and efficient. We were offered a wonderful massage. Gorgeous breakfast with wonderful Chow overseeing and showing enormous and genuine interest in our stay and other guests, helping to brilliantly advise on the best sites and places to go as well as the best tailors. We loved it for the fact it wasn’t the most modern and shiny hotel, but was all the more charming for it. Weather wasn’t perfect but there was plenty to see and keep us busy. Recommend without reservation.

Grand Dame of Hoi An

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Loved our stay in Hoi An. Location is fantastic - walking distance to the Old Town and on the banks of the river. It feels quite secluded and is a bit of a haven from the busy streets of the Old Town. The hotel itself is a bit of a “grand dame” and some of the public areas could do with some modernisation. However, the rooms appear to have been upgraded recently and were fresh and very comfortable. I’d booked the lead-in room but got upgraded to a Garden View Suite which are on the top floor of each building looking in towards the courtyard gardens. Anyone booking this category needs to be aware that there are no lifts so you need to climb the stairs to reach the rooms. The suite was spacious with a nice sofa in the living area and a verandah with two seats on either side for lounging. The bathroom was spacious and fairly modern. You had to step down into the bath/shower which was a bit odd but the shower pressure was good. We ate a number of times at Art Space and I have reviewed that separately. The breakfast buffet selection was impressive and everything you could ever imagine wanting. I think the main stand out of the resort was service - everyone was so friendly with big smiles and many of them remembered our names and asked us how we were every time we passed - pretty impressive in a busy resort! We will definitely be coming back to Hoi An and this will undoubtedly be where we stay!

Exactly As It Was A Couple of Years Ago…. Excellent Resort, Even Better Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Context: Wife & I, together with our Adult Son, 2nd time for us in Hoi An and, as before, we stayed at Anantara’s Resort. 2 Adjoining Garden View Suites. Son had tailoring needs (there’s a couple of Hoi An tailors we like) and my better half & I like the food here. After Hoi An we went on to Hue and then Da Nang. A big thank you to Ms. Trang Phan & Ms. Nhi of Anantara’s Reservations Team. Because of mobility constraints, my family wanted the same Garden View Suites as we had 2 years ago. Reaching out to these wonderful ladies when making our reservation, as I did two years ago, enabled delivery of all our specific requirements…including exactly the same pair of Suites my family had 2 years ago. Tip # 1: Book/Reserve with Anantara directly, especially if you have specific needs – these 2 ladies deeply CARE about Anantara’s guests – IMO they are outstanding ambassadors for the Anantara Brand. Tip # 2: Bearing in mind the Resort does not have any elevators, the Ground Floor units are suitable for those with mobility constraints. We like the Garden View Suites for their proximity to everything we require at the Resort: Reception, Breakfast (some Stairs), Riverside Restaurant & the Resort Entry/Exit. Service at the Resort is seriously good. A big thank you to Chau, a lady waitress. Always helpful and forthcoming with friendly advice on where to go and what to do in Hoi An. And the welcome we had from the lady Manager upon arrival was tops. Tip # 3 (aimed at 1st-timers to Hoi An). The location of Anantara’s resort offers easy & ready access to Hoi An – even for us oldies a (very) short, gentle walk and we were already “in the midst of the Old City”. Many competing Resorts advertise themselves as being in Hoi An – reality check: more than a few ain’t, some as far as a ~20 minute Taxi Ride from the Old City. Tip # 4: Like others, we had heard of the catastrophic impact of Hoi An’s severe October/November Floods. Anantara’s Resort wasn’t immune from the devestation caused by the bursting of the banks of the neighbouring Thu Bon river. But Anantara Hoi An clearly made a commendeable recovery and just by listening to staff experiences, it is obvious that they placed the wellbeing of their guests above all else. Our Ground Floor Units, ~3 months after the banks bust, were in fine condition – no remaining visible flood damage – ongoing reparations appear to be at their tail. I suggest that any fears of ongoing Q4 2025 flood related issues are without basis.

Best Customer Service ever

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

From the moment you arrive you are treated like family. The staff are so so friendly. Greet you every day in all parts of the hotel. Restaurants staff were fantastic whether at the River side, Art Space or Breakfast restaurant. Special mention to the Spa Professionals who were so so good in easing tired bodies. One small point, for long stay guests there is limited clothes storage space Obviously a very well managed hotel with a high emphasis on customer care
