Anantara Hoi An Resort is a sumptuous product of the eclectic cultural mix that makes up Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where merchants from around the world traded and left their imprint on the city. Rooms and suites are housed in two- and three-story French Colonial buildings, where a fusion of European and Asian design sensibilities create a contemporary environment accented by rich wood and splashes of color. Watch lantern-lit boats coast by at the riverside restaurant or board your own for an unforgettable dinner cruise.

My husband and I stayed at the Anantara as part of our Vietnam trip- honeymoon. The location is perfect, walking distance to the old town. The rooms are very clean and a nice large layout. Buffet breakfast had a variety of food including vegetarian options. The Service from the staff is excellent and the spa treatment was great. I would highly recommend staying at this resort.

Great service throughout our stay, especially from the breakfast team, who were warm and attentive. The room was spacious, and the hotel offers a great view, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel has a River View Restaurant that we ate at on the first night after a long day of travel. It was right on the river and the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The service of all the staff was excellent. The hotel is a short walk into town along the river. It is perfect place to come back to after a long day/evening in Hoi An. Its quiet and comfortable.

Beautifully stylish, spoiling and luxurious riverside hotel in a busy but quiet location close to centre of Hoi An. My wife and I stayed in a gorgeous river view suite (104). Service excellent from super friendly, welcoming staff. Greeted and overseen by Hong who was incredibly kind and efficient. We were offered a wonderful massage. Gorgeous breakfast with wonderful Chow overseeing and showing enormous and genuine interest in our stay and other guests, helping to brilliantly advise on the best sites and places to go as well as the best tailors. We loved it for the fact it wasn’t the most modern and shiny hotel, but was all the more charming for it. Weather wasn’t perfect but there was plenty to see and keep us busy. Recommend without reservation.

Loved our stay in Hoi An. Location is fantastic - walking distance to the Old Town and on the banks of the river. It feels quite secluded and is a bit of a haven from the busy streets of the Old Town. The hotel itself is a bit of a “grand dame” and some of the public areas could do with some modernisation. However, the rooms appear to have been upgraded recently and were fresh and very comfortable. I’d booked the lead-in room but got upgraded to a Garden View Suite which are on the top floor of each building looking in towards the courtyard gardens. Anyone booking this category needs to be aware that there are no lifts so you need to climb the stairs to reach the rooms. The suite was spacious with a nice sofa in the living area and a verandah with two seats on either side for lounging. The bathroom was spacious and fairly modern. You had to step down into the bath/shower which was a bit odd but the shower pressure was good. We ate a number of times at Art Space and I have reviewed that separately. The breakfast buffet selection was impressive and everything you could ever imagine wanting. I think the main stand out of the resort was service - everyone was so friendly with big smiles and many of them remembered our names and asked us how we were every time we passed - pretty impressive in a busy resort! We will definitely be coming back to Hoi An and this will undoubtedly be where we stay!
