Anantara Hoi An Resort is a sumptuous product of the eclectic cultural mix that makes up Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where merchants from around the world traded and left their imprint on the city. Rooms and suites are housed in two- and three-story French Colonial buildings, where a fusion of European and Asian design sensibilities create a contemporary environment accented by rich wood and splashes of color. Watch lantern-lit boats coast by at the riverside restaurant or board your own for an unforgettable dinner cruise.

22 hours after leaving our home in London we arrived at the Anatara and what a welcome. We felt special from the moment we arrived. We had a lovely meal at the riverside restaurant and we had fabulous food and were looked after well be all The staff. Breakfast was unreal with everything you could want and the pool was a lovely oasis. The rooms were comfortable although we did hear next door on one night. Overall i can not recommend this place high enough.

Well-situated hotel near Hoi An old city along the banks of the river. Feels like a nice oasis from the large groups of tourists in the town. We had a base level room with a view of the gardens on the 3rd floor (no elevator). The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. I appreciated they paid attention to my pre-arrival service requests on the survey. Breakfast was good with a nice view of the river. Less positive - the wood blinds in the room don’t block out the light too well so you probably won’t sleep in. There is an automatic light that turns on in the bathroom so you will most likely wake your partner up if you have to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. At check in they asked if we wanted to pay to upgrade to a river view - a small pet peeve of mine at hotels. I’ve chosen the category that I want - if you’re offering a free upgrade, amazing - but otherwise it just feels like upselling. We were taking the Vietage Train after check out and they told us someone would collect our bags at 6:15am. However no one showed up, so we went down to the reception desk ourself. They asked if we had luggage - which was a bizarre question. They put us in a car and on our way, the driver said he wanted to confirm we were going to the airport. That was a surprise given we were going to the train station. Clearly someone had miscommunicated where we were going. Luckily we didn’t end up at the airport! Overall a nice choice in Hoi An.

This property is close to the old town, close to the river and close to Memories Island. There's no better location. The staff are faultless and well-trained. The food is excellent, as too were our massages. Wifi is better than most properties and the large bed and pillows suited us perfectly. A memorable stay
