Just visited the Thompson Hotel and wow, it’s such a cool spot! The restaurant is super cute and everything was sparkling clean. Huge thanks to Cindy she’s so awesome and made sure my room looked amazing, just like day one. Loved the service. Can’t wait to come back!

Loud stay in Hollywood

The hotel is LOUD. The club on the roof echoes throughout the entire hotel. From 10 pm to 2 am, you'll hear nothing but bass, even five floors down. Rooms are also relatively small, with little to no space for anything (like a toiletry bag). But the hallway is long and spacious...

So, I get to check in around 12:30p . They said they had rooms available but it would be a $75 fee for an early check in. Otherwise I have to wait until 3p. I ask: So you do have rooms available then? They do. They just don’t check people in before 3p unless you pay. Then, my coworker a white woman (we made the reservation together and no status like me) comes 15 min after me and gets a room right away. No one mentions a fee. Did I mention I am Latino and have an accent??? Charging early check in fee is already ridiculous since it was PM time already. I work events and stay in a lot of hotels and that’s a first. Money hungry. I will never stay in a Thompson again. Maybe even Hyatt now. What a ridiculous thing to do. Unbelievable. I also wonder why her room was immediately available but mine was not??? Profiling much???

Excellent stay in the heart of Hollywood!

Very clean room, excellent bed, slept so good, I’m usually very picky. Bathroom was new, fresh and clean. Extensive minibar. Awesome rooftop to hang out! Breakfast burrito was awesome. Coffee was good, more European style. Walking distance to Hollywood walk of fame. Would highly recommend!
