Cordis, Hong Kong

Cordis has been my go-to hotel in HK. It is conveniently located at Mongkok, linked by the basement MTR and also the Langham Place Mall. We have some shopping areas that you can walk around easily. The hotel itself is like home. You are first greeted by the Cordis scent then by their friendly staff. The rooms are spacious enough for us and it is clean. Food - Executive Lounge has nice selection and comes with a good view of the City, or you can go to The Place, the breakfast place, it serves wide variety of food including local selection. The food is yummy, I like that it is not too sweet, not too salty and not too oily. I could do my 'leg day' at the gym as well. I will choose Cordis again for my next trip to HK

Lovely stay overall. Stayed in 2 twin bed room for 6 nights. Was originally given room 2111 which had a strong smoke smell. Was given room 1828 after a long search by front desk but he appeared a bit reluctant to make the change. Approached front desk 2 more times during our stay with general questions and they were friendly and welcoming. Hotel is modern and clean, the art work is pretty neat. Room was very comfortable. The bathroom was showing it's age a little bit (orange tile at toilet, toilet doesn't always flush properly, minor mold on ceiling and messy grout) but was otherwise clean. Room had everything we needed and items were replaced everyday. Housekeeping was very good. Good value because we booked 1 month in advance and there was also a promotion at the time. Location is excellent. Connected to a modern mall and MTR. Surrounded by reasonably priced restaurants. It does get extremely busy in the afternoon and evening. Really good sleep. We were located on the 18th floor so did not hear anything from the street. I think their lowest rooms are on floor 11 (?) so street noise shouldn't be an issue. I did not hear anything from the rooms next to us, just occasional doors opening an closing. The hotel itself appears busy but was never crowded. Wait for elevators was usually not long.

A fantastic hotel. Modern, Every detail was perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location that is just a couple of blocks from the MTR. I highly recommend.

Minus point because the room is smell smoky also the room ; There's no soundproofing at all. It's very noisy
