Best location in central, great facilities (pool and jacuzzi with great view) and top notch four seasons service. Always our go to hotel when in HK

This was our first stay at a Four Seasons hotel, and it was hard to fault. We were there on a package deal for my birthday, including dinner at Caprice and lunch at Lung King Heen, staying in a Club Room. The location is perfect; harbourfront on Hong Kong Island, with direct access into IFC Mall and only a short walk to the Promenade and ferry piers, with easy access to public transport. The staff were exceptional. Polite and friendly, and always with a smile. The staff in the lounge knew our names after the first introductions. The room was classy, for want of a better description. Top notch amenities, plenty of towels, well insulated from noise, effective blackout curtains, and a comfy bed. One minor grumble? The coffee machine makes a racket, but to be fair, I'm yet to experience one that doesn't. The hotel has two outdoor pools, both big enough for a decent swim. One heated, one not. And a nice, hot jacuzzi. Pool service was also exceptional. The heated (infinity) pool has fabulous views over Victoria Harbour. The pool area adjoins an outdoor cafe, which was busy. I can confirm the heated pool has music playing under water. We had a decent breakfast in the Club Lounge, but Afternoon Tea was underwhelming. It's a buffet offering, so no sense of occasion, and the sandwich offerings were meagre, to say the least. Looked and tasted nice though. There looked to be wine available all day, but I'm sure we were initially told from 3 until 8. Cocktails were available in the evening too, allegedly, but we never saw a list. The food presentations in the evening were top notch, and again, the staff exceptional. One major grumble ... the Lounge doesn't open until 7am. That's a deal breaker for me staying again. When you're an early riser, and the coffee machine in your room wakes your partner, the lounge becomes your retreat for a morning brew. Something I've noticed in Club Lounges. Their complementary services often include garment pressing. Here, I believe it's up to 6 items per day, but like everywhere I've ever stayed, it's never actively proffered. One day, I'll not go to dinner in creased trousers and a creased shirt!

We had the most amazing stay. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The room was modern, comfortable with an amazing view. The staff were all polite and efficient and made us feel so welcome. We were lucky enough to be able to use the Club Level which I highly recommend. The quality of food and beverages was superb. We are already planning our next trip.

I would like to call attention to the service at this hotel. Specifically, Tweety Fung (Guest Relations), Florence (Concierge), the entire housekeeping staff, and Aileen, who personally escorted me to the Airport Express subway entrance. Also, the Spa and Fitness Center are exceptional. I ate at the pool and lounge. My food was delicious but, not surprisingly, very expensive. The Argo bar has great bartenders and is worth a stop.
