Being considerate of elderly guests and their needs and making sensible and practical suggestions
I am on a 5 night trip to HK with my very elderly parents age 92 and 88 years to attend a special wedding. Let me tell you it is challenging to travel with frail parents in a foreign place. HGHK was our second hotel. Our friend had made our 2 night booking. Maria on the front desk saw that I was with an elderly couple and directed them to two chairs nearby. She then went out of her way to help me book into rooms that would be most suitable for our needs - checking things like where they will be spending their time (in hotel or out) and their preferences. We upgraded to the Club Lounge rooms when Maria explained that it would make things much easier for our stay. I am very glad she gave me this advice and explained the advantages for my parents needs. We have enjoyed our stay in the Club Lounge upgrade room and think it was definitely worth it for the extra benefits. Better views, breakfast in exclusive dining area on Floor 41 and access to pretty much all day tea/coffee/refreshments with special afternoon tea and evening cocktails on top. Highly recommended and thanks Maria.
