Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

We went to Hong Kong for the first time and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel set the tone for what was to become a most wonderful trip ever. The hotel is centrally located and it's easy to get pretty much anywhere. We took the AirPort Express to Hong Kong Station and walked to the hotel with help from the Chat feature in the Mandarin Oriental app. Our bags were whisked away, the registration was warm and welcoming and we were escorted to our room and given an in depth explanation of all of the room amenities and an invitation to visit with the concierge with anything else we could require. We scheduled spa treatments, made dinner reservations, had cocktails in the Captain's Lounge and were everywhere greeted warmly, attentively and always with a gracious smile. The attention to detail in room was a delight. We did not want to leave! You must go. And wonderful curated aromas everywhere. It was truly a special experience.

We had a wonderful experience at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, made truly special thanks to Damla. She went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday celebration seamless and memorable. Her attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism made everything feel effortless.

Our family dinner at Cafe Causette was nothing short of exceptional. While the Mandarin Oriental is known for its legendary service, the team tonight managed to exceed even those high expectations. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance—sophisticated enough for a special evening, yet welcoming and comfortable for a family gathering. We were looking for a relaxed but high-quality meal, and Cafe Causette delivered on every front. A massive thank you to Marie. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel like the only table in the room. She was incredibly intuitive, ensuring our drinks were topped up and our needs were met before we even had to ask. Also thanks to Leslie and Man for taking care for all our needs and requests.

I purchased a 60th Anniversary Octopus Card from the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong gift shop during my stay before, but unfortunately, the card had noticeable quality issues and visible defects. Though I had already left Hong Kong, the hotel team went above and beyond to resolve the problem—reaching out promptly via email, actively communicating to ensure a smooth solution, and arranging for a replacement card to be sent via SF Express. They handled all customs clearance procedures and even helped correct a minor address mix-up (due to my work’s multiple campuses) without hesitation. What truly stood out was their commitment to customer satisfaction, even after my departure. Throughout both my stay and this follow-up process, I felt the hotel’s “home away from home” culture deeply: every interaction was warm, professional, and tailored to my needs. The package arrived today, perfectly packaged and in excellent condition. I am incredibly grateful for their dedication and would highly recommend Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong for its exceptional service and genuine care for guests. I’ll definitely return!

We were a group of 7 and having a farewell lunch. From the start Marie was the server that helped us. She was super friendly to everyone and checked up on us to see if we were ok from time to time. My glass of water was never empty. She was wonderful and had the most enjoyable smile. I would ask my company to have more luncheons here. Best service ever!! Well done Marie and Mandarin Oriental! I’m a Fan!
