The Upper House

We've been wanting to stay at The Upper House for so long and it was the PERFECT mid-way point from Europe. The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are so well designed and they have thought of EVERYTHING. Pillows exceptional, bath exceptional, views exceptional, food exceptional. Our stay was short but we will be back. I'd recommend to anyone going to Hong Kong.

SENSATIONAL We arrived at Upper House on the very last night of a 2 week China trip. We had an introduction to the brand at our stay in Shanghai and so happy that we did!. The properties are all outstanding and the customer service is probably one of the best in the world. Edward was waiting to greet us on arrival. The trip was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and Edward had gone to the trouble of finding a wedding pic and framing it for us in our room - an extra special touch. The team had handmade a card and there were balloons and a banner waiting for us. The biggest wonderful surprise was that we had been upgraded to a suite. A series of rooms that was literally a mini apartment. Views with floor to ceiling windows of the whole Hong Kong harbour - there are literally no words and it was truly an extra special treat. Edward stayed in touch through our stay making sure we had everything we needed including reservations and directions. When it came to leave - we didn't want to go! Edward was waiting with a final gift of some running bits for my husband. They had taken the time to notice he is a runner and the attention to detail is unreal. I normally talk about beds, general comfort - size of room. At Upper House in the suite we had there is nothing to fault. The bed was super comfy, Sheets luxurious. The bath & shower both fabulous and we had a living room which was a great asset as our flight was not until 11pm. Location is good - next to a shopping centre and right near a metro station so well connected for the whole city. Thanks to Edward and the team at Upper House for the wonderful welcome and every little detail which did not go unoticed.

Everything about The Upper House is topnotch. Service excellence and beyond, 100% of the time. Very friendly staff, discreet, and swift! Rooms are perfectly organized too, and their room bathrooms are the best in Hong Kong. I've been coming here for over 8 years and they have remained consistent. Stayed in other hotels in between but really, nothing comes close. Also loved their breakfast offerings. Special shoutout to Edward Tang of Guest Experience. You and your team are stellar!

Had the best stay with my son as a staycation - the team is so welcoming and made both of us felt very special. The room is spacious and perfect in every way, the location is so convenient for food, play, nature - highly recommended for out of towner or local family for the weekend!

We spent a week in Hong Kong in June and retuned to our usual - and, for us, only - place to stay - The Upper House. As in all previous visits, we were made to feel so welcome and valued as repeat guests. There were a few new faces amongst the Guest Experience team but they were all so warm and friendly. Long time veterans, Edward, K and Leo made special efforts to welcome us from day one and they made our stay throughout feel special and valued. It was greatly appreciated. These long serving and dedicated staff are what make TUH such a great hotel. Special mention also for the staff at Salisterra. They serve some of the best breakfasts anywhere and it was great to see some new items on the refreshed menu. (Tip: the HK style peanut butter french toast with maple syrup is not to be missed.) Keep up the great work, TUH. We will be back again soon!
