Great Property

We stayed one night and were very happy with everything! Comfortable beds, friendly staff, and the toilet even had a bidet!

Great hotel in Honolulu!

We really liked this hotel. Its not right on the beach but a short walk to it- 2 mins to a small beach and about 10 mins to main Wakiki beach. Its on a quiet dead end street. I did not hear any noise from any other rooms. Bed was comfortable. The TOTO toilet was crazy- a fan, heater, ergonomic seat etc. The service was excellent - we had an issue with the fridge (we thought was broken but it was just turned down) and they came up right away. We had a great view of the ocean between two hotels. Very convenient to restaurants and shops. One criticism and one suggestion: -We got the breakfast package. The restaurant was not well run at all. Waits every morning with empty tables sitting there. Im guessing they are understaffed. -they did have chairs and towels if you wanted to go to the beach. The towels came in a cute tote bag. The chairs were apparently just chairs people had bought and left there. Some were very uncomfortable and they ran out very early in the day. My suggestion is to formalize the chair program- buy nice branded chairs, have enough etc

You won’t be disappointed!

The staff is Friendly, efficient and professional. Excellent location with everything within walking distance. Get a high floor for ocean view rooms as lower floors have a narrow field of vision.

Ask for higher floors if possible

Really wanted to like the hotel but a few things fell short for our trip. Checking in was easy but we didn't really have the hospitality we'd expect from a property as well known for service as this. The modern room itself is nice and clean. The bed was one of the better beds for a hotel! There's a small balcony, which was nice as we stayed out a few of the nights listing to the waves. We had an ocean view room - however, the view was sort of a let down as our room had mostly an obtruded view with a sliver of ocean view. Maybe we weren't at a high enough floor but that was quite disappointing. When we asked the front desk if we had a true ocean view room, their response was very curt and from the check-in experience being subpar to their response, really made for a bad start. Really should've been "partial ocean view" when booking. The location is definitely one of its draw and can't be beat. Many spots are reachable with a short walk - tons of great restaurants and shopping. The pool is on a higher floor, so there's a chance of winds blowing and they will not bring out the umbrellas. It's not a big pool so many of the pool chairs are right out in the sun with no shade, meaning there's no respite from the sun if you wish. Great wait staff at the pool though and they did their best bringing water or bringing out the orders out as quickly as they can. There's a restaurant on the lobby floor, but with so many food options nearby, we mostly ate out of the property. There's the Halekulani Bakery, which is great for breakfast. We did valet parking and I gotta say, the valet staff is genuinely one of the best valet staff I've encountered. They were great if we needed some info and quick to bring the cars out. Overall, while the location and the room itself were great, the overall experience was average for us.

Loved our stay!

We stayed at Halepuna for 7 nights as a family of 3. We loved everything about our stay. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are modern and clean and the beds comfortable, the location is great, the pool and spa are wonderful and the filtered water taps are a lovely inclusion.
