Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani

Is just OK. Not very impressed with the amenities here, I have to ask for things like body lotion, shower was out of conditioner. Just really more like a three star experience at best. Shower isn’t great, toiletries are not great, no vanity kits or anything special of any kind. Have to call multiple times to get their room clean and to remind them to bring things like body lotion and conditioner because there weren’t any in the room. Pool is very tiny. Cannot really see the water, pictures are very misleading. I actually booked a day pass elsewhere because the pool is that unimpressive. The location is terrible in the sense of. It’s pretty much in the middle of a parking lot and garbage alley. It’s not very attractive to walk in and out of the hotel. I definitely have not enjoyed experiencing this every day. It’s hard to get to the good part of the beach with all of your gear. You have to pretty much walk through the parking lot, garbage dumps, and lobbies of other hotels to make your way into the prime beach area to put your stuff down. Hotel also harassed me about my reservation literally for the first two days I was here. They had an issue with the third-party booking agent and some sort of software issue which caused it to show two reservations and I only had one. I have no idea, but I spent about four hours of my time, the first two days sorting all of this out, which was ridiculous. On a positive note although the room is tiny and the amenities are locking, I do think that the view is very good. The patio is teeny tiny so you really gotta squeeze on there.

Every service has been excellent. Front desk to room attendants. The cleanliness is what really stands out. The friendly people, always smiling and saying hello. I could move in here and be very happy.

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel after staying 18 times at another hotel on the beach. We were so happy with our 17 nights at the Halepuna! We felt so relaxed there. The location was perfect (tucked away from the noise of the busy Waikiki strip yet a half a block away). The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. The staff were all friendly and amazing ! The beautiful infinity pool was so enjoyable to relax at. We feel like part of the Halepuna family now! Thank you to the entire Halepuna team! Ray and Lori Fournier

Spent 10 days on Oahu at the Halepuna Waikiki. Accommodations were excellent and the hotel staff were exceptional and very friendly.

Fabulous hotel, steps from the beach, clean high end room, cute flip flops, yummy coffee in our room, fabulous service, and the bellman even held on to our longboard! We'll stay there again!
