Reviews for Prince Waikiki

A luxurious stay without breaking the bank

The hotel's service and location are great. Like the rest of Hawaii catering to tourists, it is expensive, but it's a fair price.

Great Service and Beautiful Views, but the Rooms Could Use Some Updating

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

We recently stayed at the Prince Waikiki and had an enjoyable overall experience. The biggest highlight of our stay was the exceptional customer service. Every employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. A special thank you goes to Noah at the front desk, who could not have been more professional, kind, and helpful. He went above and beyond to assist our family during our stay and even followed up with us the next day to make sure everything was going well. That level of care is rare, and he truly deserves recognition. The bell and valet staff were also consistently friendly and provided excellent service. The location offers beautiful marina and ocean views. We especially enjoyed watching both the sunrise and the sunset from the hotel -- those views were a highlight of our stay. I also appreciated the hotel's commitment to sustainability. The reusable water bottles and tote bag provided in the room were thoughtful touches that we used throughout our trip. The Maile toiletry products were another favorite and added a nice local touch. That said, the rooms are beginning to feel a bit tired. The sofa in our room was visibly dirty to the point that we didn't feel comfortable sitting on it. Compared with the other hotels we stayed at during our Hawaii vacation, the beds were also the least comfortable, and motion transfer between sleepers was very noticeable. One recommendation for travelers booking an ADA room: the hotel offers several different ADA room configurations. If you have specific accessibility needs, such as requiring a wheelchair-accessible roll-in shower, I recommend calling the hotel after making your ADA room reservation to confirm that you've been assigned the ADA room type that best fits your needs. For travelers with more limited mobility needs, I'll also note that the standard rooms have walk-in showers with a shower curb that is approximately 5 inches high. In hindsight, this worked well for my elderly mother, who simply needed a lower shower entry rather than a fully wheelchair-accessible roll-in shower. Overall, the Prince Waikiki shines because of its people. While the guest rooms could benefit from some refreshing, the outstanding service, beautiful views, thoughtful environmental initiatives, and welcoming atmosphere made for a very enjoyable stay.

Had a great experience at this hotel, staff is above and beyond. Clean rooms, good buffet, great view of the harbor. The room was exceptionally clean, and hotel cleaning staff was respectful of our belongings. Valet was a great option, quick and mannered. I felt well taken care of here! Food is a little pricey, but it is everywhere, so it’s a good deal!

12/10 Anniversary experience

Great consistent service. Food was Amazing. Our server, John was very friendly and helpful, he took good care of us. Chef Mo also took very good care of us, he brought our food out himself, out dessert was personally made on theme with the occasion. Beautiful location, easy valet and food good. Clean plate club.

An amazing experience from start to finish! The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, with an incredible variety. A special mahalo to John for his outstanding, friendly service that made us feel so welcome, and to Chef Mo for an exceptional dining experience. Great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere—we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend 100 Sails!
