Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger

What a wonderful place to stay! From the time we checked in, we were welcomed warmly by Michael at the front desk who was friendly, professional and had a warmth that really kicked off our vacation with that Aloha spirit. The room we were given had an awesome view of the ocean, clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. The rooms were taken care of by the house keeping staff really well, they somehow were always able to get it done from the time we went out for breakfast and by the time we came back, we had a fresh room greeting us. My wife misplaced her phone on one of the days it was quickly recovered by one of the managers Evelyn Garcia and Florencio P., that was a lifesaver as you can imagine what a damper losing your phone on vacation can cause. I would highly recommend taking a look at staying here if you’re researching where to stay in Waikiki or Oahu in general. Great staff, location and amenities. Side no ote, the Auana Cirque du Soleil show is on site at the hotel and is a must see, one of the highlights of our trip. They also had Lei making class what our family really enjoyed as well, hosted by Mark. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Kristina was so friendly and helpful getting us checked in, and also told us all the hotel had to offer! She also checked us in early and made sure we were happy with our rooms features. The room had lovely views and is centrally located to everything central Waikiki. The hotel itself is clean and pool and attached restaurants are top notch!

We had such an amazing stay at the Waikiki Beachcomber—everything from the room to the staff and entertainment exceeded our expectations. The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. We stayed in a Diamond Head ocean view room, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean with Diamond Head in the background was such a highlight of our trip. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and housekeeping kept everything spotless throughout our stay. From what we learned during our stay, most of the rooms are similar in size (except for the suites), so it really comes down to personal preference when choosing your room—mainly the view and floor level. Carleen explained that all rooms come with a balcony, which is a great feature. Personally, I highly recommend getting a room with a view and on a higher floor, as it helps lessen the noise from Waikiki, especially on busy weekends. Waikiki can get a bit noisy, especially on weekends, but that’s part of the lively atmosphere and something we expected. Staying on a higher floor definitely made it more peaceful. What truly made our stay stand out was the exceptional service, especially from Carleen at the front desk. Even before and during our stay, she took the time to explain everything in detail about the rooms—the differences, the views, and even the different sides of the hotel. We were planning to make a reservation and just wanted some reference, but she went above and beyond to walk us through all the options. It really felt like she knew everything about the property, and her knowledge made it so much easier for us to decide what would work best for future stays. We also arrived way earlier than the standard 3 PM check-in time, fully expecting to wait since our room wasn’t ready yet. However, Carleen immediately made us feel comfortable—she provided us with a key so we could freshen up, gave us pool towels, and suggested we relax by the pool while waiting. She even asked for our number in case a room became available earlier. To our surprise, she called us around 1:30 PM to let us know our room was ready, mentioning she knew we must be tired from our long flight. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out. On top of that, Carleen remained professional and kind throughout our entire stay. She even asked how to properly pronounce our last name so she could address us correctly, which we really appreciated. She remembered us every time we walked by and always greeted us warmly, making the experience feel very personal and welcoming. We also had the chance to watch the ‘Auana show, and it was absolutely incredible. As hotel guests, we were able to get a discount on tickets, which made the experience even better. The performances, music, visuals, and storytelling were all top-tier—it’s such a unique and modern take on Hawaiian culture. If you’re staying here or even just visiting Waikiki, do NOT miss it—it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Overall, this hotel offers the perfect mix of comfort, great service, amazing views, and unforgettable entertainment. Thanks to Carleen and the entire team, we had a truly memorable stay and would absolutely come back again!
