Amazing hotel and Staff!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

I will start off with please try to book through American Express! We had so many perks through the hotel like free breakfast and dinner every night we were there and you can go as many times as you want as long as they are open, thats unheard of in Hawaii! Every single staff member was so welcoming and had an amazing aura about them! Hotel is directly across from the beach which wasn't crowded when we went. There is a parking fee so be aware of that, but once again AMEX covered 2/3 days of our parking. Also there is a resort fee like most of the hotels that is charged after your stay, be aware of that so you wont be surprised by the charge afterwards. 100 percent would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Overpriced

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I was disappointed with my experience at Alohilani, primarily due to the condition of my room. I stayed on the 9th floor, where the bathroom was uncomfortably small and featured only a half shower screen, making it difficult to shower without soaking the floor. Upon arriving, I immediately noticed that the floors in both the bedroom and bathroom were dirty, and I had to call housekeeping to vacuum. It also appeared that fresh sheets had not been placed on the bed. Alohilani did replace all bedding and apologized for the inconvenience. Overall, it seemed that ʻAlohilani prioritizes its common areas and amenities over the quality and upkeep of its guest rooms. I also ordered a slice of pizza to-go from one of their restaurants, and it was served on a paper plate wrapped in foil—disappointing given the hotel’s high prices. That said, my cousin stayed in an upgraded room and had a wonderful experience. If you choose to stay at ʻAlohilani, I highly recommend securing an upgraded room to get the most out of your stay.

Amazing views, close to the beach and the staff great. Stephania was an absolute gem. The pool area needs more lounge chairs for the capacity but overall it was very nice overlooking the beach from the pool. The staff at breakfast was very attentive and warmed my coffee every morning. They cleaned up very quickly for the next person to be able to sit and enjoy.

Traumatic

Traumatized!!! Front desk gave us a room that was NOT VACANT; we went to the room used the key card door opened and male guest jumped at me to shut the door; went back to front desk and was told she’d have to call the manager to find me a room and I panicked because I booked more than a month ago but then she said she found a room for us; then there was not enough towels, coffee maker didn't work, had to go buy coffee, tv shut off on its own, only reason we stayed there was for my daughters prom in the hotel; we’ve stayed at other Waikiki hotels and this one was disappointing, but the valet guys were great

Find a better place to stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

When I arrived, I asked for room away from pool and got room on same floor as pool. When I asked for change of room, they gave me a lower and louder room overlooking the HVAC system. I could hear people talking through the HVAC vents. Carpets throughout hotel are threadbare and stained. Not enough elevators for the crowds of people. Very noisy location.
