Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani

Could not have asked for a better location. Even before I was in Hawaii, I received a text welcoming me to the property and streamlining the online check in process. There’s washing machines and dryers which came in super handy for our multi beach days. We got upgraded to a gorgeous room with a GIGANTIC (and I mean MASSIVE - no other hotels in Waikiki had a balcony this size) balcony only on the 8th floor, which also had the laundry and pool facility so it was so convenient. There’s beach towel and bag rentals for free, and everyone was so nice. They have their own self park lot, and even an award winning bakery on site. The elevator was also extremely fast, which was a nice surprise given that when we stayed at the Sheraton last time, the worst was waiting for the elevators. No resort fee either. If I go back to Waikiki, I would definitely stay here again and request the 8th floor oceanfront room.

Great location, clean, beautiful views! Staff was very professional, attentive, friendly & helpful! They really did everything possible to make our stay the Best! A few disappointments... - Check-In clerk promised us a welcome glass of wine & house slippers for two. We never received them. We saw other guests with the slippers & they looked really comfortable! - for the price of the rooms, there should be a microwave - pillows need to be replaced, fillings was spotty leaving gaps. You had to constantly fluffy them up while you slept. Otherwise, it was a very pleasurable experience!

What was pictured on the website was exactly what we received. We had a deluxe ocean view with two double beds. It was gorgeous. The balcony was perfect to watch the sunrise with morning coffee and croissants from their bakery which were delicious. The staff was always so warm and friendly and inviting. The room was immaculately cleaned prior to arrival, and throughout the stay. My pre-check-in was so helpful because we got there before three at 2 o’clock and the room was already ready. That was a wonderful perk because we were able to put our luggage down.They went above and beyond for me personally as I forgot my wedding bands in the room and was worried when the maid service came, they might have gotten thrown away because I couldn’t remember if I left them by the towel after I washed my hands. They must’ve set my rings aside as of course they were still there when I got back. Also it was our Anniversary and I don’t drink so they sent up a bottle of sparkling apple cider for us. It’s just little touches like this. That really made our stay wonderful. The infinity pool was beautiful and the view of the ocean was just miraculous viewing from the pool area. I definitely won’t stay anywhere else but here when I come to Waikiki.

The purpose of my trip was to relax while enjoying the Hawaiian breeze. The Halepuna Hotel had a calm and elegant atmosphere. All the hotel staff were smiling and very friendly. I was able to relax completely during my stay.

Our room (803) surpassed our expectations. It was one of the larger rooms we have ever stayed in and was very elegant. The room is full of modern conveniences and very peaceful. While not ocean fronting, the large balcony provides ample view of the ocean from the very spacious balcony. All staff are extremely pleasant and we always felt well cared for. The hotel itself is immaculate and its proximity provides opportunity to go to beach, shop or eat. Awesome place!
