Great central location, very clean, modern, graet staff, very clean, quiet, great service. Loved staying here. I would recommend this to anyone. There are so many hotel options, I felt like I really found a 'gem' in the middle of a lot of dated options!

Hotel is amazing! We loved everything about it. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere from the arrival. The pool bar cocktails are top notch!

This hotel is a good choice for its location. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Get a room with an ocean view and balcony for a true island feel. Food is great at adjoining bakery.

This hotel is like the neglected step child of the Halekulani. Very bare bones and every amenity is in the Halekulani. Even with room service my first morning I realized I couldn’t get a pitcher of coffee with milk because they could only bring me a cold to go cup from the halekulani. Meanwhile it’s not cheap enough to justify the lack of normal services. The Halekulani sits in front of it and blocks proximity to the beach. I would suggest either booking at the Halekulani or a separate hotel that offers its own standalone services and amenities. Halepuna is really a bare bones place to sleep. I did notify the staff on my first day that I was disappointed and I considered paying to switch to the Halekulani but ultimately did not feel that I wanted to pay so much money to the owners of these hotels after my experience so am sticking it out here. I will say the cleaning services in the rooms are good.

We had a wonderful 6 night stay here. It was refreshing to be treated as a valued guest. We arrived early morning from a cruise and the staff were happy to look after our bags and let us use the facilities including a hospitality room with office facilities, garden area, sun beds and infinity pool with amazing ocean views and background music. Cabana charge is very reasonable. Our room was also ready earlier than expected and our bags arrived minutes after we stepped in the room. We had 6 suitcases and it was immediate and no trouble to organise extra racks for the cases. We had decided not to book an ocean view as we were on a long holiday and we were not disappointed with the view of the city and mountains. The mist and clouds over the mountains in the mornings was spectacular! Everything was modern and exceptionally clean. Japanese toilets, lighting panel switches bedside, panels to operate different curtain options. The lanai was a cute touch even though not big enough to sit on it was nice to stand on and also have the sliding door open for fresh air. We appreciated that the decent size room fridge had nothing in it and we were encouraged to fill it with our own items. The porter who dropped our bags also showed us a menu of items we could ask for complimentary and once we decided what we would like these were literally delivered within minutes. The slides were great for the pool area, the slippers nice for the room with a robe and the refillable water bottles easy to carry around when walking around the island in the heat. The toiletries were of a high quality and not overly scented which I appreciated being a migraine sufferer. The tea and coffee was from local suppliers which was a nice touch. There was also plenty of USB ports on both sides of the bed. Speaking of the bed it was very large and roomy - absolute heaven! I used the laundry facilities - 3 washers and 4 dryers @ $4.50 a cycle. We also took advantage of the complimentary loan beach towels, beach bag and beach chairs. I accidentally left my US adapter at home it was no trouble to loan me one from the front desk for my stay. I mentioned I was a little cold one night and 2 extra doonas were delivered to our room. Anything we requested was literally delivered to our room within minutes of asking. The customer service was exceptional! We were able to charge items at their sister hotel Halekulani to our room. I could only find one area for improvement the spa very hot and pool very cold.
