Set just above the energy of Kuhio Avenue, The Laylow Waikiki, Autograph Collection channels the spirit of vintage Hawaii through a stylish mid-century-modern lens, pairing bold tropical design with an easygoing, secluded atmosphere in the heart of Waikiki. Island-inspired rooms and suites feature private lanais, while the hotel’s outdoor pool offers a relaxed urban oasis with daily treats such as local fruit, infused water and shave ice. Guests can immerse themselves in Hawaiian culture through complimentary activities including lei making and arts and crafts, then spend the evening enjoying nightly live music. The social heart of the hotel is Hideout, an open-air lanai restaurant serving Modern Hapa Hawaiian cuisine alongside craft cocktails and a signature Hawaiian-style Mai Tai, while Hideout Coffee pours Big Island Coffee Roasters brews with island-inspired pastries.

Melody M. was fantastic each day for breakfast in the Hideout restaurant. Most of the wait staff served us, but we received far better service and less complications when we were lucky enough to have her. She is truly exceptional!

Such a great hotel, clean, staff was amazing (especially Ashley and Sierra). Breakfast everyday great selections to choose from. Bar area was great, live low king singers every night. We had the king suite very roomy with basically three rooms . Centrally located, such a great package as even parking was included! Best deal ever!

My husband stays here a lot for work trips and I was fortunate enough to tag along this time. The hotel is amazing, so nice and clean. The staff is extremely friend and our housekeeper Charlie is just wonderful. She is so sweet and friendly. I don’t know if you can request her but if you can, do! She was seriously one of the nicest people I met here. I don’t know how often people who work at the hotels see these reviews but I hope someone reads this because Charlie is the best!

The hotel has been nicely redone in mid century vibe and the rooms are clean, staff is friendly in a very central Waikiki location with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. However, some major problems from my perspective. Hotel rooms are known to never have enough light, but this one was one of the worst I've been in where getting ready before there is sunlight was a challenge. Bathroom towels were also noticeably rough/scratchy for what is meant to be a boutique hotel experience. The bar (club) downstairs could be heard well into the night many nights, even on the 11th floor. Understanding it's Waikiki, but it's very noisy so if an early/quiet night's sleep is a priority, you probably want to look somewhere else. Seems like they are prioritizing outside guests vs hotel guests with the level of noise the bar produces until almost midnight. The coffee shop in the morning was wonderful and the breakfast two morning was also good, if not quite expensive, even for the area.
