The property is in great condition and we love having views of Diamond Head. The location is quiet and away from the bustle but still very walkable, and it’s so nice having the park across the street and to see it in use by the community. Finally, staff like Melvin and Katie make you feel so welcome! They’re there with a smile to help with anything. We’ve already booked out second stay!

We stayed one night - the photos on the website don't accurately depict the location, if you've never been there. This is in an urban neighborhood next to a park, not in nature. Note that there is no pool, if you're looking for one. It is near a lovely beach (bit of a walk) and offers towels and chairs (have to carry the chairs, but better than renting on the beach). They have in room massage (we didn't partake) and other amenities. Only one restaurant (pricey) and no shopping on site. The room was huge and beautiful, with robes, slippers and water bottles, coffee (Illy machine). The staff is great and the welcome was friendly (includes cold towels and POG juice "shot"). We had a balcony with a view of Diamond Head, across a parking garage and busy street! We also had a sliver of a beach view between two other hotels (or a hotel and condos). The location is good for the aquarium or zoo, and to be a little bit away from the hustle and bustle (it's a nice neighborhood with people walking their dogs, etc). You can access Diamond Head park from the hotel in a 20 min walk, and then hike from there if you wish (we didn't). It's a lovely hotel, but pricey for what they offer. It is outside of the "main drag" of Waikiki - good if you find that too busy, commercial or noisy, bad if that's where you want to be. There are some nice places to eat nearby, but not the huge selection in Waikiki. I wasn't unhappy with the hotel, but felt their marketing was intentionally misleading.

We had a wonderful time from beginning to end. The views were amazing and being away from the busiest part of Waikiki while still being close to enjoy the amenities is what ultimately sold us on the stay. Little extras along the way like beach equipment, complimentary nightly wine and in room illy coffee were additional selling points. When we were booking Melvin really helped us out by answering a lot of questions and ensuring me that my honeymoon would be excellent. Melvin and Nikki made it happen! Everyone was great, and Katie, Yoobi and the night audit gentleman (sorry I forgot your name!) deserve a special shout out. We will definitely be back and highly recommend The Lotus to anyone wanting a relaxing and convenient stay in Honolulu.

This was our second time staying at the hotel because we liked it the first time the location is great as you are out of the craziness that is Waikiki/Honolulu but you are close enough to walk in. The barefoot beach cafe is nearby and you have good road access so you can get to Leonard’s, Waiola Shave Ice, Rainbow Drive in and more within 10 minutes. We would definitely stay there again. It would be handy to have some sort of clothes airer on the balcony to hang swimwear or clothes that don’t need to be tumble dried. Other than that, very pleased with our stay. Mahalo!

Lotus was in the perfect location for a quieter side of Waikīkī. Within walking distance of many great restaurants, park, and beach. Our view from our room was gorgeous. Our room was cleaned daily and was very comfortable. The staff was always attentive and friendly. A very memorable stay for my husband and I and we will definitely stay at Lotus again.

Wonderful hotel - quiet and spacious. The service there was spectacular. The hotel staff are so attentive and always there to lend a hand if needed. We love how the hotel is away from all the big hotels and the crowds. We can't wait to get back to Hawaii to stay there. Our experience there was so great and wonderful that we recommend it to all of our friends who are heading out to Oahu.
