Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

The room we stayed in was nice, it was newly renovated too. We’d like to shout out the valet, Rj, Ligaya at the front desk, and Macrina who was our housekeeper. The cleanliness was also amazing, we had an amazing stay and hopefully will be able to stay here again.

I booked this hotel for a relaxing break and paid full price. HOWEVER wholesale construction noise causing extreme noise and disruption (1 out of 4 escalators operating) made it impossible to enjoy the pool or relax on the property and freely travel to and from my room. I was forced to leave the premises ALL DAY to escape the noise and crappy dusty smelly conditions. The construction was not disclosed at booking. . When I complained, I was told Expedia should have informed me because I booked through a third party. My agent said they would pass my feedback on. That’s great. Wholesale bomb site-like construction that affects a stay should be disclosed proactively by the hotel and booking agent. Zero disclosure by Expedia and zero interest in assisting or offering any make-good, even though I paid absolutely full whack. On a hotel level, the doors between interconnecting rooms are made of literal cardboard. I could hear every word and sound (ew) next door. I could not operate my TV without a call to maintenance. Staff were pleasant and eventually moved my room (to a lower floor with no king bed) but only after considerable effort, tipping all the way for the privilege. There was nothing so much as a breakfast voucher proffered. I booked a break and instead spent much of my time escaping the hotel. I expected the hotel and Expedia to take accountability for the nondisclosure and the significantly diminished experience but this has not happened. I will take this further with Consumer Affairs regulatory bodies. It is important other overly trusting travellers like me are not screwed out of an highly anticipated holiday experience. One star.

Another great experience at this amazing hotel. Although it is going through some renovations, they will bring the property up to its former 5 star status and beyond. Can’t wait.

From checking in to check out, everything was fantastic. Absolutely love working with Ricky. He is the best! The room was absolutely gorgeous. Diamond-head suite remodel is breath taking and I will definitely tell all my friends about my experience.

Although they are undergoing a renovation there was minimal disruption. Our room was recently renovated and very nice. The location is in the middle of everything and it’s great walking right out on to Waikiki beach! Would definitely stay here again.
