The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach

I checked into The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki yesterday as a first-time guest, and the experience was exceptional from the very moment I pulled into the driveway. The lovely staff immediately greeted me, quickly gathered my belongings, and handed me over to another wonderful team member who gave me a brief tour and led me to the property’s beautiful open-air lobby. At check-in, I was warmly greeted by Mindy, who was absolutely wonderful. She was gracious, professional, and incredibly attentive. She meticulously explained the layout of the property, showed me the two pools, answered all of my questions about dining, and then personally escorted me to my room. Along the way, she gave me fantastic recommendations on what to see and do during my short 36-hour stay. What really stood out to me was how genuinely attentive Mindy was. During our conversation, I mentioned my love of tea—Rishi Jasmine, to be exact—and that someone had told me I absolutely had to try the banana bread here. She listened, remembered those little details, and made me feel genuinely heard and valued. Later that day, I met my room attendants, Janice and Juane (please forgive me if I’ve misspelled your names!). They were so warm and friendly and had the most magical energy. They left me some wonderful tea to enjoy at the end of the evening, along with a lovely handwritten note that truly made my day. This morning, I left early to explore the island, and when I returned, I was greeted by another incredibly thoughtful surprise: a personal note from Mindy, along with the exact tea I had mentioned the day before was my favorite and banana bread to try. My room attendants had also left me more tea and another sweet note. That level of personalized service is beyond excellent—it is exceptional. The fact that these team members listened to the little things I shared and went out of their way to make me feel special is what makes a stay truly memorable. I’m actually still on property as I write this review, but I didn’t want to leave without taking a moment to recognize and thank these wonderful individuals for making my stay feel so personal and magical. The property itself is beautifully appointed. While it isn’t directly on the beach, it’s an easy walk away, and the quality of the accommodations and level of service absolutely make it worth considering. A huge mahalo to Mindy, Janice, Juane, and the entire team for making my first stay such a special one. I highly recommend The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki, and I’m already looking forward to coming back! 🌺

We only had one Night at the Ritz Carlton Waikiki but the Concierge Mrs. MAI made our stay really Great, She helped us a lot to solve Problems with our Flight, made ra Reservation at a Top Restaurant and and and We are frequent traveller and appreciate This Friendly and competend Concierge Service a lot. We stayed here in 2016 and again in 2025. Quite the expansion and we were not disappointed. From the moment you enter the property, you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of Waikiki. It’s smells amazing and is stunning visually. The service at the Ritz is always impeccable. The rooms are wonderful for families with laundry and kitchens. You can grocery shop to save money or eat at any of the local restaurants including the one on property which is lovely. Different than a regular hotel, these are residences, so they are meant to be more condo like and are privately owned and rented by the hotel. The pools (of which there are separate kid and adult pools) are fantastic with great pool side service. While it’s not on the beach, anyone who frequents Oahu knows it’s a short walk and I’m actually pleased not to be near all the commotion and tourists.

The Ritz-Carleton Residences in Waikiki is amazing. It’s worth every dollar spent. The staff treated us like royalty. The car was ready for us whenever we wanted to leave. Solera, the restaurant at the lobby, never disappointed. The suite we had in the 16th floor was lovely and functional including a full kitchen and two full baths, each with a heated toilet seat and fully automatic bidet. The views are stunning. Alana, the beautiful Hawaiian lady who does the storytelling and chanting at 6:30pm each night was unforgettable. The bedding is cozy and includes big down pillows. Our balcony was a great place to hang out and talk. The swimming pools and spas are gorgeous with their 100% tiled surfaces. They greet all guests with leis upon arrival. The concierges really know their stuff. The staff knows your name. This place is luxurious and a nice quiet space to enjoy the island. We just loved it!!

We loved our experience and felt very pampered. Service level was fantastic! Since this is a residence type property the rooms are quite large with a small kitchenette. This really came in handy for us being able to spread out and have access to both a frig, freezer and washer/dryer. It is not on the ocean but it is not a far walk for beach access, 10 minutes. The room had recently been renovated and was really nice. Definitely the higher the floor the better. Two pools….one for each tower. Diamondhead tower is for the families the other just for adults. Our plane arrived late and we were pushing it for a dinner reservation and also needed to get a bottle of wine chilled. They were awesome!t They immediately got our luggage and up to our room without any delay. Definitely will be returning, highly recommend!
