The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston

I’ve stayed at luxury hotels all over the world, including many that cost significantly more, and I can honestly say The Post Oak Hotel delivered one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, every interaction reflected true world class hospitality. Before my stay, I called to ask if I could bring my 7 lb poodle, Coco. They were incredibly welcoming, and throughout my stay she was treated just as warmly as I was. In fact, I was blown away to discover they even have a gourmet pet menu. As someone who cooks fresh, human grade meals for my dog every day, I was a little hesitant at first. I wanted to make sure the food wasn’t seasoned or made with ingredients dogs shouldn’t have. The staff immediately put me at ease, explaining that the meals are prepared specifically for pets and kept nice and bland, as they should be. Coco absolutely loved it. She ate more than she normally does. The portions were surprisingly generous and moderately priced. I even ordered two meals to take home with us. She loved her stay so much that I even purchased one of the hotel’s pet beds to have shipped to my home. I especially want to recognize Ty. From the moment he greeted me, he was kind, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. He helped with my luggage, remembered both my name and Coco’s name, always took a moment to chat, and even helped me arrange car service. What impressed me most was that this level of service never changed. Every single day, Ty went above and beyond with the same warm, attentive attitude. Employees like him are rare, and he deserves to be recognized for the exceptional experience he provides. The entire staff was outstanding, but Ty truly made my stay unforgettable. For me, The Post Oak wasn’t just a place to stay, It was an experience. Every detail exceeded my expectations and I left already looking forward to my next visit. However, I do have one complaint. There’s only one location!!! I was sad to learn I can only book my stays for Houston. Considering the exceptional service I received I understand how having a single property separates a true luxury hotel from simply expensive ones. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing weekend stay at this hotel! From the moment we checked in, Shumaila made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. We were visiting for business, and while my husband was working, Shumaila took the time to help me plan my weekend and recommended some wonderful places to visit. One of her best recommendations was the Butter Cake at Mastro’s, it was honestly the best cake I’ve ever had! The house car service was also outstanding. They drove us to our dinner, and the entire experience was seamless, professional, and very convenient. Thank you, Shumaila, for your exceptional hospitality and for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!
