Unprofessional employee

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding the conduct of a hotel employee and the police officer who responded to an incident at the hotel on Saturday, July 4. On Saturday, July 4, I was at the hotel waiting to see the Moroccan soccer players. A hotel employee, who appeared to be working as a concierge (a bald white male), approached me and asked whether I was a hotel guest. I answered honestly that I was not. The employee then told me that I had to leave the hotel. When I calmly tried to explain why I was there and ask questions about the situation, he became disrespectful and asked if I needed help getting to the door. I found this comment unnecessary, humiliating, and unprofessional. While speaking with the responding police officer, the employee repeatedly stated that I was trespassing. I tried to explain that I was willing to have dinner or make a purchase at the hotel, but before I had the opportunity to do so, the employee insisted that I was trespassing and continued to tell the officer that I needed to leave. When the police officer arrived, I expected to have an opportunity to explain my side of the situation. Instead, the officer appeared to rely solely on the employee’s statements and did not give me a fair chance to explain what had happened before directing me to leave. I understand that the hotel has the right to enforce its policies regarding non-guests, and I respect those policies. My concern is not that I was asked to leave, but rather the manner in which I was treated. I believe I was treated disrespectfully, unfairly labeled as trespassing, and denied a reasonable opportunity to explain myself or peacefully resolve the situation. I respectfully request that this incident be investigated by reviewing any available security camera footage, speaking with the employee involved, and reviewing any available police body camera footage. I believe this review will provide a complete and accurate account of what occurred. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

Excellent choice in the Houston area

This was my second time staying here and service was excellent as always. From room service to dining service it was all wonderful! The only thing this place needs to improve on is valet. We would text in advance, and even after giving them 15 minutes when we had gotten downstairs, we had to wait an additional 10 to 20 minutes for the car. Otherwise, would love to stay here again and again.

Went to visit a business partner, while I was waiting for him the stuff noticed that I had an accent... discrimination started! While I was waiting for that partner the staff asked me to leave the lobby because I was not a guest. I still had my glass of bear on the table. It's a shame! I stood my grounds and REFUSED to leave, they did a walk of shame...

Our stay at The Post Oak Hotel last summer was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was the exceptional service we received from Adam, Isaiah, Jacque, and Kourtney. Even now, nearly a year later, I still find myself talking about how incredible they were. In an industry where good service is expected, they delivered something far beyond that. They made us feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout our stay. Each interaction was met with warmth, professionalism, and an attention to detail that never went unnoticed. Whether it was anticipating our needs before we even asked, offering thoughtful recommendations, or simply greeting us with kindness and enthusiasm, they consistently elevated our experience. Their ability to create a luxurious yet personal atmosphere is a testament to their talent and dedication. What stands out most is that their hospitality was not just efficient. It was memorable. They made our stay feel special in a way that cannot be taught, and it is the reason The Post Oak continues to stand out in our minds long after we returned home. Adam, Isaiah, Jacque, and Kourtney are absolute stars, and The Post Oak is fortunate to have them. Thank you for helping create such wonderful memories. We cannot wait to return.
