The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston

Absolutely wonderful experience with exemplary staff! Absolutely beautiful rooms and a spa that provides the most luxurious treatments!

This is a luxurious and beautiful hotel. My stay was restful and comfortable. They have great restaurants and staff with great amenities. Also, within a few blocks away are other amenities like a Whole Foods, banks, etc which is very convenient.

This hotel is top-of-the-range although not flawless. Five stars given because the overall service levels and quality of food and conference facilities was world-class. The service was impeccable and my room was spotless, spacious and high tech (TV -- not a particularly high-end one, mind you, emerging up from cabinet etc). However, being on a business trip and having no cell reception in my room was highly inconvenient and the outside noise levels were higher than I might like, especially so for another colleague facing the highway.

My husband and I recently stayed with you to celebrate our anniversary and his birthday, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. One concern we did want to share occurred shortly after we arrived. While we were in our room getting settled and preparing to change for the evening, a staff member opened our door and entered the room, simply saying, “Bar check.” We understand there may have been a communication issue and that she may not have realized we had already checked in. However, having someone unexpectedly enter our room was very off-putting and made us uncomfortable, particularly given that we were getting ready to change clothes. Thankfully, this did not define our overall stay, but it was not the initial experience we expected and felt it was important to bring it to your attention. We otherwise truly enjoyed our celebration and appreciated the hospitality throughout our stay.

Beautiful hotel very opulent has lost its personal touch with people and the entertainers and luminaries they host. I usually stay or used to stay because I felt safe seeing and accommodated. Now it’s overpriced in the staff particularly HR waitresses are very rude.
