Reviews for The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston

Rude staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

Went to visit a business partner, while I was waiting for him the stuff noticed that I had an accent... discrimination started! While I was waiting for that partner the staff asked me to leave the lobby because I was not a guest. I still had my glass of bear on the table. It's a shame! I stood my grounds and REFUSED to leave, they did a walk of shame...

Isaiah and Kourtney were fabulous! The Post Oak is so lucky to have them!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Our stay at The Post Oak Hotel last summer was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was the exceptional service we received from Adam, Isaiah, Jacque, and Kourtney. Even now, nearly a year later, I still find myself talking about how incredible they were. In an industry where good service is expected, they delivered something far beyond that. They made us feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout our stay. Each interaction was met with warmth, professionalism, and an attention to detail that never went unnoticed. Whether it was anticipating our needs before we even asked, offering thoughtful recommendations, or simply greeting us with kindness and enthusiasm, they consistently elevated our experience. Their ability to create a luxurious yet personal atmosphere is a testament to their talent and dedication. What stands out most is that their hospitality was not just efficient. It was memorable. They made our stay feel special in a way that cannot be taught, and it is the reason The Post Oak continues to stand out in our minds long after we returned home. Adam, Isaiah, Jacque, and Kourtney are absolute stars, and The Post Oak is fortunate to have them. Thank you for helping create such wonderful memories. We cannot wait to return.

Consistent Five Star Experience Every Time

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I’ve stayed at The Post Oak Hotel a few times over the past couple of years and realized I never actually wrote a review, which is long overdue. The biggest thing that stands out is how consistent everything is. Every stay has felt the same in the best way possible. The service is always on point. The front desk team is friendly, welcoming, and makes the check in and check out process feel effortless. The lobby itself is impressive the moment you walk in. It’s one of those spaces you actually want to spend time in. It’s a great spot to grab a coffee in the morning and just sit for a bit and people watch. The rooms are probably the best I’ve stayed in. They’re spacious, well designed, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the details. The beds are extremely comfortable with high end linens, and great skyline views. The bathrooms are just as impressive with large marble layouts, soaking tubs, and high end bath products that make it feel more like a spa than a standard hotel room. Even the smaller touches stand out like a fully stocked minibar, Nespresso machine, and overall attention to detail throughout the room. Overall, this is one of those hotels that just delivers every time. The service, the atmosphere, and especially the rooms make it an easy recommendation if you are staying in Houston.

Spa at The Post Oak

I had the pleasure of spending my birthday at the spa at The Post Oak, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Darreen and Bri, who made my day feel truly special. From the moment I arrived, Darreen was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring I had a relaxing and memorable experience. She maintained a welcoming and calming presence throughout my visit, and went above and beyond to make me feel valued and cared for. I got the Hydrating Silk Wrap which was an outstanding service and I would highly recommend Bri to anyone looking for a first-class massage experience. Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration so relaxing, memorable, and enjoyable.

Drinks with a side of Racist

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I recently felt discriminated against at the Post Oak Hotel and came across your lawsuit while researching similar experiences. It appears the hotel is still enforcing its dress code inconsistently. My friends and I visited the hotel bar after dinner at a five-star restaurant, dressed appropriately in slacks and sleeveless blouses, yet we were asked to cover our shoulders. Meanwhile, other patrons nearby who were not minorities had exposed shoulders and were allowed to remain without being approached or asked to cover up. What disturbed me even more was an incident involving the family restroom. I accompanied my boyfriend to help check his drainage bag to ensure it was not leaking, and while we were inside the FAMILY restroom, a hotel representative aggressively banged on the door and instructed me to step out. After these experiences, I do not plan to patronize this hotel again. The treatment we received was disappointing, unnecessary, and far below the level of hospitality the establishment claims to represent.
