10/10 experience
Had such a pleasure experience at the Thompson and was infatuated by all the art. Joe at valet was such a gentleman and made us feel so welcomed!

lovely hotel but add on expenses are exorbitant!!!
We spent two nights here attending a conference. Hotel was lovely, room was adequate, food was excellent and staff was exemplary! The reason for the three star rating is that did not make us feel like a guest. We have stayed in many high end hotels in the US, Europe, Asia, etc. At this hotel (besides the high valet feel and the destination fee) there was a charge listed for everything in the room. Every bottle of water, every cookie and a $14 charge for some special make up wipes; All of our high end hotels (and some basic ones, too) at the very least give you a bottle of water at check-in and many of them supply water/sparkling water on a daily basis. And many hotels have a small package of some kind of treat. (i.e chocolate cake in vienna, cookies in Lisbon). That is what makes you feel like guest, especially when you are paying a high nightly rate plus destination charge.

Merritt was an incredible server. Jalen is a great bartender! I had a great experience. Cold beer, great appetizers. I come here monthly.

Perfect afternoon
Beautiful afternoon in Houston at the Thompson! Weather was great so they had the doors open. Merritt and Jalen were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.
