95% good, 5% bad.
The good: Beautiful hotel, great food, wonderful accommodations to include our dog. The Bad: Unfortunately, they did not accommodate our early check in request which usually happens with our Amex Platinum. We booked two rooms and one wasn't even ready at 4 pm. I do not suggest breakfast at Sol7. We were forced into the overpriced buffet breakfast which was pretty empty and not refilled. Parking is $56 a night.

Early check in was delayed. Beverage fridge hummed all night. Room service was slow and the order received was incorrect.

Perfect NYE hotel
Excellent staff, room and location. The bar was small but the drinks were great and we really enjoyed breakfast! We're thinking about making this an annual tradition!

Cedric at valet was great! He was very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is also very nice and a offer great viewed of downtown.

Best pool view in Houston.
We wanted a quick break, so we decided to revisit the Thompson Hotel. It’s a great location near the park and all the fancy restaurants. The rooms are beautiful, and the service is exceptional, from the valet to the housekeeping. The pools are heated, and we enjoyed taking advantage of the warm December weather. The kids had a great time and asked if we could come back next month.
