My company has used Whitehall for years for our downtown meetings when coming from out of town. Now we actually have our staff who live in Houston stay there for these meetings as well, as it is inviting for social, company, and personal stays. We love Whitehouse and consider it a staple for anyone coming from out of town, or not!

The entrance and lobby area is beautiful and had me so excited to see the room. Well the beauty stopped at the lobby and common areas, the rooms gave motel, the bathrooms were small and tight, there were dust in corners, windows dirty, the shower that slides came off the hinges I had to call for assistance. The tv worked the first night only but had another’s guest name assigned the entire weekend, when I questioned it in the front lobby he said it was fine they just needed to reset it. Stain on the second bed comforter and the room just felt dirty. But I always carry cleaning supplies and sanitizer because my son and I have horrible allergies so I always wipe down things no matter what. My other issue was I was caught off guard about the valet parking $50 a day. And when I asked were there self parking options the valet guy said no if you stay here you have to pay to park. So we paid!! Now the positive parts were … pool area nice, the coffee bar attendants were amazing and super friendly I wish I would had visited them sooner than checkout, also the guy that checked me in was friendly almost too friendly because he kept saying my first name loudly, in the times we are living in , I’m kinda nervous when people are trying to be that personal and blasting my personal name so loudly, Ms T or Ms K would have been just fine or even Mam! Would I stay again … mostly likely not; when I travel … cleanest , location and comfort are my top priorities, if I don’t feel clean I’m not comfortable . My suggestions would be to make the rooms match the rest of the hotel.. because it gave Ritz Carlton or The Roosevelt upon entrance but the rooms gave Motel…. Fill in the blank !
