Built in the style of an ancient Thai village, Anantara Resort & Spa Hua Hin is a fine reflection of the town’s royal roots. In the 1920s, Rama VI and Rama VII built summer residences here to escape Bangkok’s stifling heat, and it’s still a seaside destination for aristocracy. Anantara’s interpretation is embellished with rich hardwoods, Thai silks and private balconies or terraces where guests can preside in peace over their exotic terrain.

We stayed at Anantara Hua Hin recently and overall had a wonderful experience. Our room was newly renovated with a relaxing seaview. The lobby and lounge staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Special mention to Ray, Miwz, Ice and Atom — they were the highlight of our guest experience. Ray in particular went above and beyond: he personally arranged a transfer for us to a nearby non-affiliated hotel, even taking the extra step to call ahead and check that our room there was ready. Another evening, when my son was running a fever, I called guest service to ask for a thermometer. The hotel didn’t have one available, but the staff immediately arranged for someone to purchase one from the nearby 7/11 and deliver it to our room (of course we reimbursed them). We signed up for the Spice Spoon cooking class and Muay Thai class. Both classes were an experience and allow us to immerse in their local cultures. Highly recommended. Thanks Chef Somkiat and Coach Pooh for the experience. The downside for the trip is the lobby is currently under renovation, and the check-in counter has been shifted into the Kasara Lounge, which takes away from the usual Club exclusiveness. The current kids club is also a temporary arrangement which held in a connecting room, it doesn’t seem to have much activity as the space is limited. Overall, despite some inconveniences, the service and the renovated room more than made up for it. The seaviews are beautiful, and the genuine care shown by the staff made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely be happy to return once the works are completed.

There was a big construction going on in Lobby area and some of the villas. We were completely covered in dust at check in on arrival and a lot of noise the first 2-3 hours. I am sure when all this is done it is a nice resort, but our stay not great. Would have been nice to have been informed before coming.
