Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin was once an important stop along the railway from Bangkok to Malaysia. The original Railway Hotel was a staple of the booming Hua Hin area in the 1920’s. Now, the newly renovated resort set along the Gulf of Thailand features rooms & suites with bright white facades, dark wood flooring and private terraces. Eight world-class golf courses are minutes away from the resort. The Railway Restaurant features striking checkerboard flooring with bright white terraces overhead to replicate the original railway station, and serves Thai cuisine with international and European influences in an indoor/outdoor venue. SPA Cenvaree sits in a tropical garden and features traditional Thai Healing herbs and oils.

My wife and I have been long term beneficiaries of staying at the Centara, Hua Hin. We have never been disappointed. It is like a second home to us, made most enjoyable by the friendly, courteous and professional staff. Every aspect of the hotel is an enjoyable experience - the ambience, fine dining, the swimming pools, the Elephant Bar and live music. The hotel is well located within easy walking distance to most shops and contiguous to a beautiful beach. Everything you could wish for.

Stunning colonial style hotel with great service. Whereby breakfast staff remember where you like to sit and whether you have tea/coffee. The pool staff were equally friendly and again remembered if you had a favourite spot in the sun and would set up our towels in advance, and we saw this done for regular guests by the pool. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Hotel also has nice gym with adequate equipment. Live music in the bar a number of nights. All hotel employees greeted you warmly. The manager Jann was visible at the hotel and always made time to speak his guests. Can’t fault this hotel and hope to be back one day.

Travelled as a family of 4 and had to have 2 twin rooms as the children were 12 and 14. First impressions were amazing, however when you look closely some areas are in need of upkeep for example the pool toilets, painting to the exterior and around the maze area. The food and drinks are expensive compared to the surrounding area even with 15% loyalty deducted. The food is very good and the staff are absolutely outstanding. Not a lot going on for children aged as ours piano music plays constantly and it has more of a retirement vibe.

Great hotel with a bit of old-fashioned chic. Excellent beach. Nice landscaping. Very quiet and traditional, a perfect place for affluent European seniors to spend a winter (which many of them do for decades). Amenities and activities are very much in sync with the clientele. Food is good, hard liquor and cocktail selection is very good. If you are over 55, sick and tired of stupid sports and cardio excercising, need peace of mind, shaken-not-stirred martini and 6-hand massage (awaits you right by the gates) from smiling Thai girls, this is a must visit.

We have had the most wonderful time at The Centara Grand Hotel Hua Hin. Our first impression of the hotel upon arrival is one of beauty, and luxury in a wonderful green lush floral setting overlooking the beach. We are greeted fondly by the lovely friendly staff with a refreshing drink after a long journey. Jan the hotel manager is wonderfully kind and courteous and very professional along with his kind and attentive staff. You often see him around the hotel making sure the guests are happy and well looked after. The staff here are happy to help with any request, nothing is ever too much trouble. The breakfast is delicious and there is so much choice and the staff again kind and attentive. They even remembered I like to start my morning with a coffee which seemed to surreptitiously appear upon my arrival to breakfast. My favourite restaurant Hagi serves an amazing variety of japanese dishes and you can book for a tepanyaki evening where the chef cooks for you. It’s a great experience. They have another restaurant Coast which serves a great variety of delicious food and is definitely also worth exploring and they have special themed evenings at the restaurant at certain times of the month where the food and entertainment is superb. I enjoyed sitting in the Elephant Bar in the evening sipping cocktails and listening to a great live band, after a relaxing day by the pool or exploring some of the beauty of Thailand. The hotel is situated in the most elegant lush grounds with so much space to have lovely walks and admire all the hard work the gardeners put in everyday to make it all so beautiful and unique. I have never seen anything like it. Our room is tastefully decorated and spacious and we have a lovely view of the gardens with the pool and sea just ahead. I could not ask for more. I loved sitting out on the balcony looking at the magnificent view and listening to all the melodic birdsong in the morning. There is renovation work currently taking place at the hotel but you wouldn’t even know it was going on, I didn’t hear a thing. It’s amazing. Thank you Jan and your lovely Team for making our stay so very special. We will definitely return to your magical sanctuary. Kap Khun Ka.
