As worldwide Travellers this has been one of the worst places we have stayed that was rated a 5-star hotel. When we checked into our room, the floors were so dirty that our feet were black from walking barefoot while unpacking for 10 minutes. There were no towels provided and we had to ask twice for towels to be given to us. Using the telephone to call room service, housekeeping or reception was a waste of time as no one ever picked up. We had to walk to the restaurant to order morning coffee for our room because no one picked up the phone even though the say they offer room service from 6am. But the worst was the restaurant quality food- appalling and absolutely pitiful. We had to send food back twice because they served us reheated food from the A la Carte restaurants. Even worse was that the second time it was fish and when I walked up to the chef and waitress and showed they they were horrified. I actually said to the head chef -“ how can you even allow this to leave the kitchen” because he was busy chatting with colleagues instead of looking at what was being served. Only then did he get in the kitchen to cook the food. Breakfast was the only decent food and I would highly recommend that if you’ve booked to stay here, go eat in the Centre where there are many more better restaurants like Grillo marinaro or Terracotta. In short- avoid like the plague

The Camino Real Zaashila was a delightful setting. Huge pool, private beach access, and spacious rooms, as well as decent restaurants and a Starbucks. We had a quiet room & slept great. Gym was small but well air conditioned and equipped with the basics. The service in April is a little inconsistent due to the high number of spring break guests, but if you have a bit of patience to make multiple requests, they are very kind and will take care of everything you need like laundry service and daily room cleaning. They also had special events at this time which were fun! Overall we had an incredible stay at this lovely and welcoming property.

Currently staying here and our first day experience has been below the 5star. We booked a sea view room and were given room 90 however the room was average- dated and the pictures while looking like the website have been highly photoshopped with enhanced colour. But the worst was that we were given no towels for the room and worst still the floors were so dirty that our feet were black after walking around barefoot for ten minutes while unpacking. So far…. I would say this is way below 5 star

Not your regular AI, very quiet resort. There are not multiple choices for restaurants. There is one for breakfast, one for lunch and one for supper. Lunch and supper are a la carte. We are returning guests and it’s perfect for us. We love the resort, food and beverage is great but the staff are what make this resort extra special. We like to upgrade our room to ocean front with private pool. We order pesos from our bank at home and bring with us. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and you just need to ask if you want or need anything.

Excellent hotel, the architecture is beautiful, the room and common areas are very clean, the staff is very helpful, the gym is very equipped compared to other hotels in the area, I fully recommend this hotel. Although they don't have a meal plan and prices of meals are high for my budget so we had to go out for breakfast and other meals
