The Stay was good overall, the Hotel room still not at the 5 Star levels, some parts of the building are quite olé and Need to berefurbished.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. Food and beverages were pricy, especially for Mexico. Very little water pressure and the shower water would turn cold in the middle of the shower. Also had stains on our sheets that had to be changed out and the hot tub was not working. Just little things that could be easily corrected.

We stayed for 1 week in a top floor hotel room facing the pool area and beach. On the plus side, the public areas are modern and well maintained. This includes the huge pool and the restaurants. The view is stunning and it is almost a private beach. The staff was very helpful when you needed something. It never seemed crowded and there were always lounge chairs available around the pool and on the beautiful sandy beach. Location is very quiet. AC worked very well. The view from balcony is stunning. All you hear is the birds and the crashing waves. There is hot water in the shower if you wait long enough. On the "needs improvement", rooms are very dated and need full renovation. The tiled floors are very dirty, especially the old grout. All the furniture needs to be replaced including the very old balcony chairs. The onsite restaurant prices seemed very expensive so we never ate there. There are many excellent restaurants within 10 minute walk which is where we had breakfast and some dinners. Taxi to the rest of the town is about 8 minutes and $80 Pesos. You can't drink the tap water of course. They only provide a few small bottles of water so we had to buy a lot of extra water bottles.

This was our third visit to the Camino. The pool, the friendliness of the wait staff, the laid back atmosphere brought us back. Several issues have us seriously reconsidering a return visit. While Edgar has made some improvements to the supper menu it is still very inconsistent. some meals were very good, but quite a few not so much. Supper was usually significantly understaffed to the point where on one evening we waited two hours just to have our order taken! While quests at breakfast have place mats and cloth napkins, supper is served on bare tables with paper napkins!! The all inclusive bar menu has shrunk to the point where only the base bar mix alcohol is included. if you don't want the mixed drinks you'd better like beer or the cheap house wine. I'd humbly suggest these are two areas where cost cutting is going to be counterproductive.

My best Mexico All Inclusive experience ever! The reason we loved it is for the very reasons many reviewers didn't love it! That is - it is very low key - there is NOT loud music playing in the pool area constantly, NOT a bunch of hyped-up resort activities. Just the beautiful quiet beach, the lovely pool, well-kept grounds, really friendly staff, and a few very non-intrusive entertainers in restaurant in the evenings. A very relaxed spot. Food buffet was adequate for breakfast and dinner - and meals were particularly fantastic at the Beach Grill for lunch. Staff were VERY friendly. Lots of stairs throughout the property! Get your quads ready! :) Rooms were huge, with nice balconies. It's a short ride by cab to town of La Cruceita, or if you want a more touristy/lively beach experience - a short cab ride to Santa Cruz. I would not hesitate to return to this resort for a quieter all-inclusive experience.
